Raleigh's Napoleon Complex Vis-a-Vis Charlotte

AT&T has a radio commercial that airs in the Triangle which makes the following points:

1 - we have a couple...hundred...thousand oak trees;

2 - you'll tell 10 people a year that Charlotte is not the capital of North Carolina; 

3 - there are 2 different "cultures" in Raleigh - eastern style and Lexington style; and

4 - no one knows where Raleigh and North Raleigh become two different cities .

It's pretty comical!

The ad is, for sure.  There are a handful of us still here that probably remember the Raleigh vs. Charlotte and Atlanta vs. Charlotte battles from the early days.  Many were lost..

well those in the Capital city welcome the new headquarters of the UNC system. 

Honestly this discussion is lame.  Raleigh is a city the capital city and Chapel Hill is a college town

It was intended to highlight the humor of that commercial, which, I think, is pretty funny.

However, having lived in the Triangle and in Charlotte, I can unequivocally attest that Raleigh has a massive little brother complex vis-a-vis Charlotte.  This commercial alludes to it.
