The owner of a Wedgewood-Houston property is seeking a rezoning to mixed-use.

A partnership owns the property, with an address of 1300 Fort Negley Blvd., and has enlisted Nashville-based Smith Gee Studio to assist in the attempt to land the rezoning. The 1.87-acre site currently is zoned industrial.

The building located on the property seemingly is home to electrical engineering company Enterprise Solutions.

An Aug. 8 Metro Planning Commission meeting is slated for the rezoning vote.

The site currently has a a couple businesses in a one story, non-historic structure.  It is immediately to the west of the 6 story Westerly House mixed-use project currently u.c.
