If they don't build a twin bridge its going to be total gridlock over there with the cyber command center.. huntsville is smaller than shreveport but it's growing so fast that they have 4 lanes of highway all over the place because of future growth.. they can't build roads fast enough over there... Bossier better get ready to start laying down a lot of pavement!

lots of new stores opened up in Fultondale friday... I was saddened when I walked into the Best buy and it was the size of a circle k inside... very very small..

I moved to the Birmingham Alabama area! Shreveport has it beat in convenience but when it comes to diversity... bham has it all.. more big city feels.. I knew all about the odor problem! I worked in at southland printing on the edge of downtown.. not too far from the convention center... I signed multiple petitions for something to be done about the horrid dog food smell! do these kids in their sagging pants know the reasoning for sagging? IT MEANS I'M AVAILABLE to be somebodies PROPERTY in PRISON!

I miss the Shreveport traffic... you can be just about anywhere in the city within minutes... I go exploring around town and burn a half a tank of gas.. and ride through horrid traffic!!!!! it's so crowded here there is no place to pull over and get pictures!!! it kinda sucks I miss shreveport... with it's beautfiul convenient riverfront and downtown..

look new orleans is the most corrupt city in the united states and theyre able to have pro sports.... I think Birmingham is capable of this.. Birmingham has so much potential.. all the surrounding cities are passing us by.... bham has tons of potential... I went down to MORRIS AVE. tonight to take pictures.. I've never been there.. I was the only person on that street the entire 30 minutes I was there..it shouldnt be that way.. that place has potential.

The past proposals required tax money didnt they... the new group wants to fund the whole thing with their own money.. if thats the case maybe they wont be stupid with the money? We just have to figure out a way to get people crazy about a pro team as they are about alabama and auburn... they can turn out 93,000 fans... with way overpriced tickets.. heck alabama filled up a stadium on a practice game against themselves! Lots of negativity on this subject in this forum... be excited about this... I think we can do it!

it's scary that they'd be so eager to jump into it.... hopefully they can contract some honest folks to do the job..

when I go to the Birmingham skyscraper diagram page on this site skyscraperpage it shows a proposed mixed use 45 story building... is that something that came up long ago and got shot down? theres also a 28 story westin hotel on there.. sorry if thats a buncha old stuff I'm new here forgive me

my wifes cousins friend was robbed at gunpoint the other day in 5 points south while walking a dog.

Alabama is full of natural beauty.. I'm new to the state and for the most part it's really clean.. especially coming from Louisiana.... but, on my drive home today I witnessed something very disturbing. I was behind a car on Mt. Olive road and noticed one of the guys in the back seat of the car kept looking behind and checking me out.. after the second check he started tossing out trash out of the car as they drove down the road... that pretty much enraged me...I wrote down their tag #.. WILL THAT DO ME ANY GOOD to report it? Ive lived off of Mt. Olive road for 2 weeks now.. I'm already tired of picking up whisky bottles beer bottles and fast food wrappers.... disheartened new guy Craig

I saw nothing wrong with the arena I was quite impressed with the one that is there... if they cant even fill that one why build a brand new huge one??? how many seats does the exsisting arena have? it probably was about 10% full on a friday nightop!

I cant wait to see how it affects the area! too bad I-69 wont be built before I'm dead jk man once 69 crosses near the port it will be a mega port you better believe it! I could see shreveport becoming a major shipping center with land air and sea capabilities! and especially if they build that command center at BAFB.. holy crap that will transform the city like crazy.. youll see contracting companies working with the command center sorta like you see in Huntsville with the red stone arsenal.. it will be amazing to see.. you never know.. 100 years from now it could be the dallas fort worth shreveport bossier metro area lol

I went to a Alabama Steeldogs game friday night.. I really wanted to go because they were playing my hometown the Bossier Shreveport Battlewings... I thought the BJCC was super nice... parking seemed a little confusing.. especially to a new guy in town like me.. we kept accidently getting on the interstate lol but we figured it out... parked over near the FBI building.. one thing I noticed was the crowd was really small... I wonder how they could get a little more support?! I had to root for my hometeam the battlewings who were victorious.. anyways I'm enjoying BHAM so far.. will be tons better when my wife gets here

i painted a giant set of eyes on my back.. when I feel threatened I turn around and try to appear larger???.. lol na ive been approached by crazies downtown luckily security guards have come to my rescue and shood them away

yeah the second one was my favorite to! I'm turning that one in on an 8x10 as my final for the photography class! hope he likes it to!
