That is ashame because when I go there and start drinking, you get hungry and they have some really good queso dip. IMO they started the entire thing though by trying to get away with more. I hope they don't get rid of their but then again its out of my hands. GO HOGS GO!

Alright, I have yet to post on the transportation projects in NWA so here are my 2 cents worth. Some serious projects need to get done and need to get done now. First on this list should be expanding I-540 to 6 or 8 lanes, and I think 8 lanes is the way to go. I drive that road everyday to work and traffic is terrible. Everday its stop in go traffic, mainly because there are too many cars on the road and because most people in NWA don't know how to drive. I lived in Denver this summer, and when you wanted to merge onto the interstate, you gassed it to 70 MPH on the on ramp and you made room for yourself. In NWA for some reason people only go like 40 MPH on the on ramp and expect people to let them on the interstate, and when people on the interstate slow down to let those slow people on, it makes everyone slow, causing major traffic issues. Springdale needs a bypass bad and so does Bella Vista. I personally don't think that a light rail system would go good here in NWA right now anyway, and they need to invest in the road systems. I am tired of the AHTD saying all these proects will be done with nothing happening. This is seriously the worse department in the state. The springdale bypass has been talked abou for 10 years and nothing has been done yet, which is causing more traffic on 412 and causing the price of the project to increase. So I wish the AHTD would get off there butts and something up here in NWA to help us out.

They won't be flying 737's into XNA for a long time. I don't see 737's being flown in for at least another 7-8 years and that is if Southwest decides to fly into XNA. Most airlines are going away from 737's and leaning toward the regional jets, so I don't see that happening.

Tell ya this much, if i see another commerical with that guy swinging his arm for either the furniture store up in bentonville or take 2 video...I am going to go crazy...I can not stand that guy and the commericals he is in.

I think boeing was going to build in Washington anyway. They were using other states such as Arkansas and Virgina to get better deals out of the state of washington.

One thing that should help XNA is when the access road to the airport built. They have plans to spend several million on it this year, buying the right of way, relocating people, and then clearing the way for the road. They said no pavement will be poured till 2007 but hopefully the road will be done by around 2009. That should help out XNA a lot and really shorten the time it takes to get there.

Hello everyone...I have been viewing the board for some time, just haven't ever posted. I am from Siloam Springs, and currently attend the University of Arkansas. I like the growth that is taking place in the state and especially NWA. I will post mainly on NWA issues however, may post a little about central arkansas.
