  1. Yep, I knew it, and yep, I agree!
  2. Yeah, the deck is pretty much complete, or should be soon complete. They are really going to town on that project.
  3. They should open up a Maggiano's uptown! A dude at my church is the general manager of the one at SP, a good friend of mine is a busboy there, call for any free hookups yo
  4. Were there many employees standing around at the rallies and stuff?
  5. I can't even tell what it was. You all had our hopes up.
  6. Yep, the only reason we will lose this is because of politics.
  7. I think 12 to 2 PM is the best time. There are several rally points, I believe the major one will be at Trade & Tryon of course.
  8. Yes, wear yellow!!! I am going to try to get off work that day to show my support!
  9. So, how long, from the time it breaks ground to the time it tops out, will construction last?
  10. Yep, Daytona loses. I'm only worried about ATL and KC, we should be getting this thing. Most people, regardless of where they live, would probably agree.
  11. oooo, I want to go!!! When is it?
  12. I dk, this facade seems smaller to me. I would think it would run a little cheaper, maybe $80k.
  13. When do they make a decision on this?
  14. Yep, this looks like an AWESOME tower, I can't wait!
  15. I couldn't agree more! This will be awesome and hopefully increase our tourist numbers. And this is also another thing residents can do for fun around the area without having to travel 3 hours to some of the mountain rivers, though those are great fun too.
  16. Haha, that is quite hilarious, I'm actually kinda sad we lost this guy.
  17. Welcome to Charlotte and UP ilektronik!! Glad you enjoy our city. I definitely DO NOT consider NorthLake part of the University area. University area is northeast, NL is northwest. I think that some people are already calling that area NorthLake. That name will grow and in time it will be a well known part of Charlotte.
  18. Yes, I do believe the economic impact is greater, however, I would take this building instead. It will help add greatly to uptown tourism and, well, just look real nice. The all-star race will cycle through here every few years anyway, after all, we ARE the center of racing. I'd say the race would go on a loop from, maybe, Charlotte to Atlanta to KC to Texas to Cali and then back to Charlotte.
  19. I don't know if anyone heard, Bank of America announced today that it is sponsoring a Charlotte race next year and a few other NASCAR races around the country. Does anyone think this will help our chances for getting the HOF? http://www.charlotte.com/mld/charlotte/spo...ts/12012864.htm
  20. Yeah, I heard the walls were constructed 3 times as thick because it was going to be used as a fallout shelter during the cold war.
  21. Dang, that is a lot of high-end steak places. I don't even like steak all that much.
  22. Snap, right on the money. I am so brilliant.
