Thanks Smeags! I will post some screen shots soon. The map looks similar to a year ago. Again, a big thanks to you (and other contributors) for putting the development map together, that made putting a 3D version together very easy.

If this runway extension happens is there even a need for runway 13/31? The newly extended runway would then be the longest and could accommodate any aircraft 13/31 could. Would they consider removing runway 13/31 at that point? It would eliminate any runways crossing over each other AND (of particular interest to most of us) eliminate any need for an aircraft to fly low over downtown, which to my understanding would remove the FAA's restriction of providing insurance to buildings over 750' tall? I thought I remember Smeags writing this in a post a while ago... In short, runway 13/31 is solely responsible for this 750' cap on building heights in downtown. I know I have to be oversimplifying this, but I'm curious to know if anyone here can shed some light?

I believe you're correct. Someone will need to confirm, but I think that is the new Education Media Foundation (K-LOVE & Air1) HQ in the Reams Fleming development.

I think “targeted to younger children” is the key here. I agree that Nashville doesn’t have a children’s museum that targets children under 6. I’ve heard great things about the adventure science center, but it also frequently comes with a comment like “you really need to wait until your kids are a little older for them to enjoy it.” The closest thing we have is the Discovery Center in Murfreesboro. I think a true Children’s Museum would do really well, but I get why it’s not popular on here as well.

Grasspave and Gravelpave by Invisible Structures are also an option. https://www.invisiblestructures.com/products/grasspave-2/ https://www.invisiblestructures.com/products/gravelpave-2/

Purple is Beaman. Reed is North of Broadway, right?

The density in midtown hugging the loop and along Broadway (if all built) seems to be much greater than Nashville Yards or any part of the CBD for that matter. Here’s some Screenshots. Granted the purple is still a big question mark. 1401 Church in orange.

Thanks Smeags! I mentioned and credited UrbanPlanet several times in the interview for doing tons of work to gather all this information and making it easy to find in one place. Unfortunately, it was all cut. Thanks again for all the work you do here. -

I did not expect all that to happen. Very Cool! Good on Mark to reach out and ask to post it on Twitter. I noticed the UrbanPlanner Twitter followers grew by over 50% this week! Kind of Crazy. I don't post a ton because I don't really have much to say. I'm just a guy who enjoys architecture and development and wants to learn more about it. There's a lot of knowledge and information on this board and I feel lucky to have access to that information. I'm sure the people that have those connections didn't get them over night. And because that information is shared I can have fun creating 3D maps. So thanks to everyone for sharing info here so I can learn and enjoy. Glad I could at least provide something, for once instead of just take free info. -

Thank you sir! Sure! I will try to export it tonight after I clean up a few things. I will post it the Development Map thread though, that’s probably the most appropriate place for it. -

Just for fun... Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I got a little impatient and wanted to see what all these projects might look like added to our skyline. So i had a little fun in Google Earth Pro. I could only do straight vertical lines and the buildings are in no way accurate as far as shape, but they are fairly accurate in height for the most part. I frequently browse Smeags development map and it was the inspiration for this rough draft of a 3D version. It doesn't have all projects and my key (see below) probably isn't totally accurate, but I thought I'd share what i have so far. I took some creative liberties on a few, but again, it's just for fun. See some screen shots i took below. Red - Under Construction Blue - Proposed Purple - Planning Yellow - stalled or dead or who knows.
