  1. Love you! Wow, the best response yet against all the haters lurking on this forum. Americans love to "blog" about our problems, similar to many folks here, but no other action is taken. I guess is easier to complaint from mom's attic than actually get involved and make a change.
  2. At least LU1 will get some rest from the haters! LOL
  3. I think some of you made it clear you don't like LU1. It's time to move on.
  4. Letters are huge. Don’t look that big from ground level.
  5. Crane finally going up. Not sure I’ve seen a yellow one around town!
  6. Duke Energy Center, Legacy Union and reflection of The Mint Tower.
  7. Can’t say exactly the height, but it’s VERY close to 650 feet tall. Would make it Charlotte’s fourth tallest tower.
  8. Close to a milllion square foot of space. Heard it could be close to 600 ft tall....Can't confirm yet!
  9. The lobby will face Tryon Street, with 25,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space planned on the building's perimeter on Tryon, next to the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture and on College Street. Retail space also surrounds a seven-level parking deck that will have approximately 1,000 spaces.
  10. DEC 1 is Platinum LEED and does not have solar panels. No need for them to be Platinum.
  11. No solar panels on top and counting the lobby, it will be 41 stories high, information straight from the horse's mouth.
  12. Aerial view of the big purple box that will become the Grand Bohemian Hotel on Trade.
  13. Charlotte Metro Tower! Developer files permit for construction of 40-story office tower in Uptown Charlotte, with construction to begin in second quarter of 2019. The architect is tvsdesign of Atlanta, the same firm that designed the Duke Energy Center.
  14. Birth of a new building while destruction of another one a block away.
  15. Still not much vertical growth. Hoping this move at a faster pace.
  16. Tower is almost done. Waiting for the Bank of America sign up on top.
