Oh nice! Now we can see the rest of Nashville Yards, Amazon, AND Asurion! Edit: I just realized this must be from the top of JW right?

I think that is referencing a 787 loaded for a shorter range. The current BA flight to London, for example, is a 787. I assume the added weight of fuel for extended flights such as Japan requires a much longer runway:

The images I uploaded were just a sampling of their proposals. They also had one showing the ramifications of extending 2R. I didn't want to clog up the thread too much by uploading each slide.

Here is a document outlining long term master planning changes for the continued growth at BNA. A few things I found interesting: BNA appears to be range limited right now by runway length combined with how hot summers. For example, Japan seems out of reach right now. They have several concepts that show both a second terminal and extended runways: Any runway extension will involve property acquisition such as the concept below They seem to realize BNA Vision is already not enough. There are several concepts on how to expand the current terminal. Below is my favorite.

My opinion is that they realized they were getting a bit too much press at the moment. Their original plan was 50k over like 7 years. No need to take more heat in the press right now when you've got years to grow.

I noticed that for the past week or so the Graduate crew has stayed pretty much clear of this property. The space east of Jack in The Box is empty. Maybe this will start up before Graduate is complete?

I’m guessing this is a two tower crane job? I think we may break a new crane record this spring. (I don’t keep track, but just seems like a lot about to come up.)- 1,151 replies

I assume this was "leaked" as part of negotiations between Amazon and NY. "You sure wouldn't want us to take our 25k jobs somewhere else would you?"
-
My understanding is that they will both have auto traffic, but the upper 10th will be very short. It's basically just to get into and out of Nashville Yards parking garages I think.

Man, they do have fantastic fries!

I would assume the entire parking structure is part of the first phase though? Or maybe they are going to build the south tower first and not go below grade to get it up quicker?

A few photos from the top floor of the Omni this morning. Who can we petition for a new Hilton? this view will be quite a bit different in a few years! Margaritaville: -
https://www.tennessean.com/story/money/2019/02/01/nashville-airport-bna-restaurants-biscuit-love-princes/2735947002/ Basically every local eatery is trying to get a spot at the airport under this new deal. Very excited for restaurants at the airport to actually be owned and run by locals! Gulch pizzeria Emmy Squared, fast-food burger joint Hugh Baby's, barbecue restaurant Peg Leg Porker, Vietnamese restaurant Vui's Kitchen, sandwich shop The Grilled Cheeserie, Mexican restaurant La Hacienda, local brewery Tennessee Brew Works, Southern bar and grill Puckett's, Blake Shelton-branded honky-tonk Ole Red and sweet shop Christie Cookie are among the names. Several coffee shops, including 8th and Roast, Barista Parlor and Bongo Java, are included. Hot chicken eateries Prince's, 400 Degrees, Party Fowl and Hattie B's are on the list. Fraport USA President and CEO Ben Zandi said there were 432 applications for roughly 90 spots.

That's exactly what the coffee house area is for. You can be people while these threads stay on topic. That conversation had strayed completely away from the proposed tower. It was a discussion about zoning laws at a high level. Go create a Zoning Law topic in Coffee House and have a blast while I use this thread to learn about updates regarding the Paramount Tower. If Coffee House is where conversations go to die, that's probably because most people aren't interested in the conversation. They just want to come here and learn about Nashville development.

Would they have much of a leg to stand on? Are these within the zoning height limits already?

I’m just not interested in a building that shares all amenities with short term rental guests. I can understand why they are having trouble.

Margaritaville Hotel,12 stories, 145 ft., 215 rooms
Craiger replied to markhollin's topic in Nashville
Something tells me it will be a ~15 story hotel with the first 10 floors being a parking pedestal. -
Does anyone have the link to the cam that time lapse is from? It looks like earth cam? I’m guessing it’s private.. would be an awesome view to check in on NY progress.

They'll just have to fly even lower so attendees can FEEL it even if they aren't outside to see it.

Training for the Governor's Inauguration tomorrow. It sure did spook a lot of people though.
