  1. I think it just boils down to what type of person you are. The aspirational types want the highest and best use of the space given. The non-aspirational types are happy with what they're given. Neither are wrong necessarily in terms of Orlando and our ability to transcend, but the opinions do indeed differ.
  2. I got a giggle outta this. The suggestion that shipping crates would lessen the shantytown vibe tickles me. Cheers!
  3. Perhaps when I-4 isn't such a clusterf**k, Rosalind could be looked at. What about trying to activate Magnolia?
  4. More and more families with both parents working full time jobs to get by. Lack of time spent with kids.
  5. They are building a bridge over Industry Rd in Cocoa and there are going to be two tunnels built for the train to go underneath 528. The article I read wasn't horribly specific, but that's what I garnered.
  6. It's tough to carry forth pride for Orlando and not lament the squatty buildings going up. Sometimes I agree that a parking lot would be better than an ungainly proportioned tower.
  7. I wouldn't deem lane splitting as aggressive. It's very common in California and a lot of other countries. And I like driving in Manhattan. It's one of the few remaining places in America where people actually go when the light turns green.
  8. Didn't this recently happen to an apartment building in Metrowest?
  9. I know some have expressed their disdain towards the SunTrust Center, but I have always liked it. It saddens me to know that I won't be greeted by it when entering downtown on 4 eastbound anymore. Also, the view of the SunTrust is blocked by Modera from Lake Eola. Sad day.
  10. And in Lake Wales and Ocala. Also, Kay's in Cocoa is an old Fat Boys.
  11. I would love to be able to take a train to Miami or Tampa as opposed to dealing with crap traffic on 95 or even worse traffic on 4.
