  1. You clearly do not understand sarcasm. I'm glad you think the team dining area and meeting rooms make this better. Would love to see your math on 2,000 GA seats generating 1.4 mil a year minimum? $120 per ticket? I'm an Alumni and wouldn't pay half of that.
  2. $60 mil for 3,000 GA seats and a few boxes? Nice.
  3. Great news, CLT survived! Sad to see other cities, like MCI, get dropped. Hopefully this new B6 structure does allow for sustainable growth (JFK?)
  4. This is awesome, your posts are always so insightful. A few thoughts: B6 could upgauge with the complete termination of the Spirit merger? Does WN have plans to bring back PHX? AC running (3) E175 flights daily, could YUL be next? DL JFK/LGA all regional, will that change? Still hopeful that UA will expand West (SFO)
  5. Maybe they will be glass at over $1 mil a pop. lol
  6. As a French Canadian, I am extremely about this one. With the recent AC up gauge from YUL, Quebec service out of CLT is growing quite well. Interesting that the route doesn't start until August as June/July are big travel months.
  7. Definitely agree - maybe they try northern routes first. There are FL gaps in Allegiants routes that Avelo could try. PBI, VPS, and RSW all come to mind.
  8. Not surprising, but I feel like this could be a bigger deal in the near future. Allegiant was suppose to build a "base" with (2) 320's stationed at JQF a couple years back. Instead, they have shrunk their Concord ops. If Avelo can figure out solid expansion plans, I could see a 737 being based here with multiple flight adds by EOY.
  9. Has anyone seen these plans before? https://www.rsandh.com/projects/charlotte-douglas-international-airport/ Looks like B,C, and E would be removed. Why would CLT expand B and C to eventually remove completely?
  10. Kind of cool, could Statesville ever land a commercial flight?
  11. Got it, thank you both for your replies on this!
  12. Side topic - AC CRJ-900 parked at D8 this morning, has AC ever parked at D before?
  13. Interesting read on congestion relief ideas. https://www.wfae.org/business/2023-11-30/charlottes-airport-wont-discuss-its-thanksgiving-traffic-meltdown-we-have-thoughts I bet the airport is regretting not adding counters to the new A terminal.
  14. Saw an AC E175 yesterday at CLT, did they permanently upgrade from the CRJ again?
  15. This is a great post, always appreciate your insight. WN has grown nicely at CLT as well. Once A II is complete and Delta shifts, will any gates open up for non AA carriers? The competition is great for Charlotte and will hopefully encourage AA to continue to invest in upgrades.
  16. B was open for Precheck only today, 30 min line when I went through.
  17. Great point. Weren't there plans to add customs capabilities to some of the C gates too? Would be extremely beneficial for the XLR.
  18. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when A North II opens, won't they have to close a few gates at B/C for expansion?
  19. Pretty remarkable to see how much earth moving equipment is onsite. Interesting note - 20 additional arrivals once it is complete. Does this alter anything? Or just relief from other runways?
  20. Wondering how many of DFW and CLT cuts are regional. PHL has been taking blows left and right recently - they can barely support trans con service. Will this be CLT's strongest INT'l summer yet? A
  21. When did Spirit add CLT-DFW? LH's 346 flies routes with high levels of business traffic, hence the 18-J configuration. The 359 has less premium seating, which explains the up gauge.
  22. Pretty awesome to see what CLT is kicking off right now, things that I have seen begin construction in the past month (let me know what I left off!) - Canopy for terminal Midwood Smokehouse in Terminal B Aviation Museum North End Wrap Around Taxiway De Icing Pad / South runway connector is moving along nicely Foundation for Terminal A Phase II Taxiway widening for Terminal D flow
  23. Pretty sure plans are to scrap the old tower and possibly build a hotel or run a terminal commuter in its location.
  24. Definitely a few tweaks - There will be a de icing pad to the south (where buildings are pictured) and the removal of Phase III of Terminal A come to mind. Would love to see cargo expansion as part of the long term plan.
