You mean Gold Line -- the Silver Line is years away from ordering vehicles. There are four of Gold Line units at the North yard at the moment.

Yeah that's what I meant, I get my colors confused sometimes,  and the vehicle is similar to the current ones but a little lower and has a different paint scheme that is mostly silver

What makes up the NC state economy?  Our economy is slightly larger than Sweden's.  The new biggest contributor is FIRE  Finance Insurance and Real estate.  A huge chunk is located in Mecklenburg, but also in large nodes in Winston and Greensboro and in Raleigh.  Even Wilmington is home to the Live Oak Bank a business lending firm.  2nd is manufacturing which is scattered all over the state but lots in the Piedmont.  Information (tech) is the fastest growing segment led by both Charlotte and Raleigh Durham

Also in that data NC still has the 2nd largest rural pop in the US with 34% of residents living outside of cities. This probably account for our poor showing on some metrics like life expectancy and GDP per capital despite all of our recent progress

  3. In the first screenshot is where the new in campus hotel is being built. In the 2nd screenshot though there is a large construction project going on between Snyder Road and the football practice field. I have tried finding out what is was on my own but cant find it for the life of me. Does anyone have any ideas on what it is?

Today the 6:28am northbound from 485 had to de-board at Arrowwood "due to a biological impact".  That was unsettling, hahaha.  Talked to a CATS guy and apparently somebody ralphed in the first car (I was in the 2nd).  Ewwwww.  Anyway they took the whole thing out of service and we waited 15 mins for the next one.  Honestly surprised this doesn't happen more often.

This has literally never happened before, I've been on trains with people who have puked, and twice someone peeing in the train itself onto the floor and the train just kept on rolling and all of us went to the other side of the car

Doesn’t the school still have 100+ undeveloped acres on the other side of Mallard Creek Church Road?

Yes the school has a large block of land zoned for institutional land use across mallard creek church rd. The only problem is there is a house and a small apartment complex that both (from what I've heard) are refusing to sell out or want a ridiculous price and without those 2 peices it would be hard to connect that side of campus to the current

Carroll already has the designs for his development south of the ballpark. In 12 days we'll see what Carroll has planned. Can't wait!

Roy Carroll's Greensboro based Carroll Companies is one of the largest development companies in the southeast. For those of you who live in Charlotte, he builds the Bee Safe Storages. There is one nestled on the edge of downtown Greensboro and midtown. He is downtown Greensboro's most active developer. He renovated the 16 story old Wachovia tower and turned it into Center Pointe Condominiums (him and his family live in the penthouse unit) , purchased the CityView Apartments and built Carroll at Bellemeade/Hyatt Place. His company builds major projects in Texas, Florida and all over the southeast. The mixed-use Westin development in Wilmington is his project. Carroll is one of Greensboro's most wealthiest residents owning his own jet and yacht.

Roy Carroll has become Greensboro's next Joe Koury.

One day until this now. I'm pretty excited to see what he has in store for downtown

I never heard about this!! what! But is this entire thing around University City? Hope not, they have enough! Go to class!

I have class for a total of like 16 hours a week. Plus like 5 hours hw for 21 total. Me and the other 30000 students with similar time commitments have a lot of time and money to throw at things,  UC is a great place for this

How soon will EpiCenter(re) be replaced with tower?

Dont they already have a relatively newly opened hotel tower? I dont see them selling out too soon with that plus the large crowds it regularly draws in every week. Also there are still many available plots open in uptown so it's not like developers are desperate for space if they have the type of money to even consider buying and building on the Epicenter plot
