  1. I sure hope so.... Philemon needs realigning to connect with Cullman Ave at 36th. Is there a link to the Philemon extension project on charmeck site?
  2. How long can the Cabaret remain on the market? another cycle?
  3. And the electrical conduits are new since my shots from 9/20. So, definitely progress....
  4. The parking deck is in fact completely hidden (wrapped) by midrise condos/apartments and hotel.
  5. I can see that, but even the light-rail has a north and a south depot where service and storage is done. I think Charlotte will probably need a similar setup for the buses, eventually.
  6. That works for the hub and spoke design that CATS was/is currently using. But as they move away from that, wouldn't this become a disadvantage?
  7. On the other side of Uptown, right by the Ellis construction site. @8th and College there is a small building that is being upfitted -- does anyone know what is coming here?
  8. ^^^ above is the pretty side.. below, I snapped the ugly side of the GB... can't wait for a project to cover this up on this corner...
  9. Agree that would be ideal for CATS to move away from there, but given their fairly new expansion there, I don't see it happening for ~25 years.
  10. Thank you, this is exactly what I was referring to in my comment. This is not a joke... the camp tent off I-277 at Graham keeps growing... As for development ... the best hope for 4th ward is Charlotte Gateway Station district and making sure it spreads all the way towards NC Music Factory / Avid HQ
  11. Uhm, that is not happening, not in 4th Ward, the blocks of old Victorian homes are going to prevent that... and for a good reason. You have a bunch of fields and/or parking lots in first and second ward, how about we use that land up first.
  12. This says its 420ft but only 25 floors... But then, the same page has the following bit about it being 32 stories.... Source: http://www.dci-engineers.com/project/carolina-theatre-expansion-intercontinental-hotel
  13. oh, and I may or may not be driving out there now...
  14. He meant this is one of two companies rumored to relo HQ's to Charlotte.
  15. The thought of Charlotte drivers having access to a personal flying car is frightening.
  16. I stuck my phone through a cutout in the plywood at the Carolina Theater construction site and this is the first picture that I snapped. The plaque gives some cool history of the address 220 N Tryon St, thought I would share...
  17. I'm Uptown today for a meeting and got to walk by this construction site...
  18. A blue tower crane base was installed at the Marriott construction site on campus, could not take a picture as I was driving.
  19. I specifically pointed out that the -- longer -- stretch of Church St side of this building was horrendous at street level. But looking at the render it looks like the windows for Kings Kitchen can slide away to have one large opening. Still think this is a win compared to what is/was there.
  20. And here I am, still driving up to Ninety's in University to have some of their Hershey Premium Ice Cream ... to each his own...
