  1. Looking at the renderings, yes that appears to be the height of the hat.
  2. ^Love the reflection of Ally. They’re gonna get a lot of bang for their buck when the signage goes live considering it’ll be visible on BofA in every shot from this angle.
  3. Despite there being no tree, yes, we are topped out save for the “hat” with the ally signage.
  4. A near perfect population analogy... Richmond:Charlotte::Charlotte:Atlanta This can be interpreted many ways of course.
  5. Well, they still have “the largest airport in central Virginia” which is how I once heard someone earnestly describe it.
  6. Cool city. Great bones. Hard to believe Charlotte and Richmond were about the same size in 1980. I suppose if Virginia had more liberal annexation laws and banking regulations, Richmond might still be a serious competitor.
  7. I assume this is an issue with WSOC’s tower cam and not a direct hit from a nuclear ICBM Update: I think we’re good.

  9. Just look at that sky! This is mid June, not September. Wonderful.
  10. Because JPMorgan has a trademark on “Interbank” in the U.S. and would’ve sued.
  11. So assuming Truist follows through on its rumored option to buy then this will no longer be the Hearst Tower right? End of an era. I’m pouring one out just like I did for Ericsson stadium.
  12. They haven’t released a logo yet. That’s another Truist. Like I said, all the names are taken. Even Truist. They had to find one that was not taken by someone in the same field.
  13. It’s not Interbrand’s fault that BB&T didn’t have the egos to simply keep the superior SunTrust name as the combined company brand. Interbrand was destined to fail here because THERE ARE NO GOOD NAMES LEFT. Yes, this name is bad but it really couldn’t be any better.
  14. As bad as this name is, no one will think twice about it in a year. That’s how branding works. They will grow into their (terrible) name and Truist will seem natural.
