  1. Unless Spectrum are looking to scale back on their commuter shuttles I can not see the number 19 being popular. I have ridden that bus a handful of time during peak work hours (I work for Spectrum on medial mile and am lucky enough to live close to a Michigan street stop) and there has not been more than 1 or 2 people on it at any given time.
  2. Complete random thought but I have always wondered how well Michigan street would do if it was converted to one lane of traffic each way with a turn lane from college to Fuller or maybe even Plymouth. I know it's highly unliekly to happen but Plainfield in the Creston neighborhood area is a major road that gets a lot of daily commuters and it seems to move pretty steady. Michigan street has plenty of streets as well as even 196 that runs parallel to help eleivate congestion. As someone who lives in this area it will always be a dream of mine to have bike Lanes on this street not to mention wider sidewalks to make it more walkable.
  3. A lot of memerbers in the neighborhood associations don't know what it's like to live in actual urban areas. They view their neighbourhoods more like the suburbs and less like an extension of downtown. If people are concerned with mix used infill projectes being constructed and an influx of renter in their neighbourhoods they should just move out to Ada or Rockford already.
  4. Their projects may not be the best looking to some people, but I am happy to have them investing money on the Michigan street corridor.
  5. I think its a case of poor location. Their food and beer was never spectacular but i didn't expect them to be closing.
  6. The Morton and 20 E Fulton surprise me the most as they prime locations for pedestrian traffic. Wasn't the Morton retail space advertised as an Italian restaurant a long time ago?
  7. I noticed that trailer last week but didn't know if it was new or not. I see that Michigan street is going to be down to one lane each way here pretty soon as work on some drainge for the new development takes places. Seems like things are moving along here quickly.
  8. On a complete side note I love Books & Mortar! I am in there a few times a month. Back to the topic now, does Bridge St get enough pedestrian traffic during the day to support a coffee shop?
  9. With all these new hotels planned or under construction i am predicting before the end of the year we will see expansion plans for the convention center.
