  1. I've taken to hitching rides on the hay wagons and pedal taverns
  2. ATT is not going to build an operations building that stands out. It could be because they're cheap but most likely because of the equipment and functionality of that equipment inside the building. They want it to be as nondescript as possible. Correct me if I'm wrong but they don't even have a sign on it.
  3. Propaganda 101 - You can prove anything with statistics
  4. Appears BNA police are under the impression that stranded travelers at our airport are trespassers. https://www.msn.com/en-us/travel/news/video-shows-nashville-airport-threatening-to-arrest-stranded-southwest-passengers/ar-AA15OzpQ?ocid=entnewsntp&cvid=acff13b8285b40f9881ea91f31776c1a
  5. Don't know whose developing this but I hope it results in a colossal financial loss for them. What they tore down to build this pile of dung doesn't deserve to be rewarded.
  6. Professional sports is a meritocracy. Inclusion, fairness are not given any consideration. Either you can play it at a certain level or you can't.
  7. Are any of these cities listed here actively pursuing a MLB franchise? Nashville has a potential ownership group but I'm not aware of any efforts by Metro or the State to try to lure a expansion franchise here. Any of these cities buying what MLB is selling?
  8. In part two of that survey CNBC listed TN among the top 10 worst places to live citing "inclusiveness and crime" for its low rating
  9. Those photos make me cringe but also serve as a reminder; whenever you think that there's too much change/development going on in Nashville that many of us used to live with this. I remember Demonbreun being one of the tackiest stretches of road in town. By the mid-90s it had actually started to improve a bit.
  10. I have no faith that the parties involved are going to build anything original, aesthetically pleasing, or modern. Nothing more trite than a fully enclosed domed football stadium.
  11. If the Titans end up building a new domed stadium financed using at least some public money, what impact do you think it will have on a baseball stadium being built? Considering the fight that's going to take place over a new football stadium I would think the chances of a new baseball stadium are done. Of course there's always the possibility that baseball stadium gets built using private money but that never happens. I don't think there will be much of an appetite from the public to finance two professional sports stadiums
  12. Drove by the there today and the hardware store is no more. There's a lot of activity on that stretch of N'vill Rd south of OHB. There's the apartment/condo building going up next to Sprouts, Edley's restaurant going up across the street from Lenox and more apartments on the south side of Lenox
  13. This must be some kind of joke, but since its Tennessee one must not assume anything. Its mind boggling just how freaking stupid people can be. Hoping they get sued out of existence and senior management is criminally charged the first occurrence of a hog taking a bite out of someone's leg. And while I'm at it get rid of the GD party buses!
  14. Corporations don't really have a choice but to call out discriminatory laws passed by some of these states. They've spent the past 25 years or so carrying on about core values, ad nauseum so when these culture war issues raise their heads they essentially have to respond in some manner. The day will come when oracle or someone similar is going to back out of a big deal and tell Tennessee no thanks, we're not investing in this crazy environment. Oracle is a big catch for the city/state if it happens. Hope the culture warriors don't blow it.
  15. I knew the city was enjoying some serious growth but this list you put together is mind blowing. It took a good 15 minutes to scroll through it all. Appreciate your time and effort on this
  16. I would love to know where this is occurring. I'll pack my bags quit my job and be there tomorrow. There isn't a city/town/state/country in the world spending a million a year on a homeless person.
