    The Tribune says the penthouse will be going for $40M. Yow! I pass what I believe is the site on my way home on the bus. There is equipment there and big pile of rocks/dirt. I will try and get a photo

    This top one looks like the same building as the Metropolis in Midtown with a different facade.

    Whoever volunteers better have a "spot free" record with the Department of Homeland Security. Showing up repeatedly to photograph the same spot at the airport might result in a black sedan parked out front of your residence.

    If I am not mistaken, the Arts Center Tower was renovated and had the roofline added (maybe early 80's?). I think it was built earlier.

    I have seen it with two in-town neighborhoods in Atlanta, when I lived there. A good restaurant opened in a relatively vacant retail area. The food was great, prices not too high. People flocked to the restaurant. Lines out the front door. The retail area was suddenly "hot" and galleries opened up, small shops and the whole neighborhood "turned", all from a good restaurant.

    People in Grand Rapids are well fed, and as such, often grow to heights considered grotesquely huge in other parts of the world.

    Hey Tam: Nice video. Particularly liked te elevator ride by the new art museum. Grey winter days make GR look a bit depressed though.

    Well, it was much better looking than my dorm, South Quad, across the street. Looked rather like a mental hospital.

    Hey Big Bob Pizza, glad the new place is working well, I like your pizza and the new place is very nice. I live in your old neighborhood however, and really wou;d have liked yopu to do the same thing here. There has been a big gap since you left...any chance of you coming back with a bigger/better concept?
