  1. That's great! I still wouldn't regard that as confirmation on the theater and Lucky Strike though. As much as I want both these facilities to be there, Charlotte is still not listed as a "coming location" on Lucky Strike's website. Would be nice to hear some type of formal update from Ghazi.
  2. Wow...I agree we need a breath of fresh air in men's clothing here. I'm just as tired as the next guy of stale tired Tommy Bahama clones, but these (Billy Reid) clothes are kinda bizarre...a little too effete for my tastes. Anyway, vive la difference, I guess.
  3. Don't you guys think the Vue and 210 Trade appeal to slightly different demographics? Some people want to be downtown, but yet not in the middle of the nightlife of downtown. I just see Vue appealing to more urban-type empty-nesters while 210 would hit a younger (but still well-heeled) group that truly wants the pulse of the city at their fingertips. I think the same demo that bought into the original Church St condos, would lean more toward Vue. I don't think it's an issue of 210 kicking Vue's butt.
  4. Still no clarification on the theater or bowling alley?? I would think with "reps" now available for questions on 210, someone would have asked questions and found out more concrete answers on the amenities planned for the epicenter portion. 210 is stunning though..I agree this is going to give Vue a run for the money, but I still think the demographic or perhaps the mind-set of the buyers for this will be slightly different from the Vue. Perhaps the two are not head on head competitors. Also, any idea on nighttime lighting for the tower?? Green perhaps (like Park Place condo in Atl).
  5. What a great tower for Nashville! Best of luck, but I am curious.....It seems that the 5K reservation requirement is unusually lenient, when compared with the VUE in Charlotte (51 stories, which has met pre-construction lending requirements and will break ground 4th quarter). The Vue guys required an initial deposit (reservation) of 5% of the unit cost, then another 5 or 10% (dependent on floor height) on groundbreaking, then balance at intervals. Penthouse units require initial 10%. With average unit cost >500K, that's a lot of dineros. I wonder with the low - and refundable - reservation costs of Sig, will there be a lot of reneges when it's truly time to sign on the dotted line....and if so, how truly valid are these early reservations?
  6. Hey Sleight, any word from the architects on what the official height of the tower is to be? I think it's interesting that with 3 towers under construction (210, Ave, T'mark), I've not seen anticipated heights published on any of them, unless I've just overlooked it
  7. I can understand your disgust, Ironchapman, but what a ridiculous statement.....of course the Panthers were the BETTER team, yesterday (and for the season). True sports professionals shouldn't carry their mood swings onto the turf with them. If the Falcons weren't able to throw off their "depression" and play solid football, that's speaks to their character and coaching as well as perhaps their talent. Stop making excuses, and enjoy the post-season.
