  1. Nice, but this still doesn't answer the original question of whether the bowling alley in Epi will be a "Lucky Strike".
  2. Any word on who will be the operator of the bowling alley...initially advertised as Lucky Strike, but we are not listed in their "upcoming locations".
  3. Any idea on the owner/operator of the bowling venue and the theater? Are we still looking at Lucky Strike Lanes? (hope so, but we have yet to appear on their website as an upcoming location)
  4. What's the purpose of the additional parcels, and which are they? Why are they important yet apparently simultaneously so optional?
  5. Anyone know if Furman still has plans to develop the lot along the western edge of the planned ballpark...between Mint and the train tracks? This lot is fenced in currently and I think there's an old abandoned paint store of some type on the property. There was a statement in a thread awhile back that Furman had an option on the land and planned condos there...but that was back when West Park was going to basically occupy the land where the ballpark is currently planned. Any ideas on this "outparcel"?
  6. If there are 249 units, then perhaps that places him very close to the required 50% (?60%) units under contract to satisfy most financiers, given the 120 or so listed as reserved (? under contract) on his website. The question is, how can you suddenly reconfigure a skyscraper from > 400 units to just 249? Or maybe someone was having a dyslexic moment and 429 was meant instead of 249. Seems to me there are way too many odd questions for this late in the game with this one. That news report muddied, rather than clarified.
  7. Not impressive at all for a project that's been of the highest profile in Nashville (and beyond) for over a year now. Supposedly there's going to be a groundbreaking for the Sig in less than 2 weeks....go figure....but then we digress from the real topic at hand
  8. Thx...and it seems there's no way to easily find out the answer....lots of fog and haze, but nevertheless, an "ironclad" groundbreaking planned in just 2 weeks. FWIW, Vue has already commenced construction here.
  9. This truly looks like a wonderful project...but are there any rumblings that this is "real" and soon to be formally announced, or is just just a sparkle in some architects eye. The 2 renderings that Cooper Carry has for the project, while both nice, are totally different, leading me to think there's no finalized plan. Maybe that's why we haven't heard anything or seen any action at the site. BTW, apartments would be a great use for this site, IMO.
  10. Striking design. This works well for Dubai but obviously would be hideous here. I think Trump is actually doing a better job of fitting his architecture to the setting. The Toronto designs are nothing like this, but fit that city well..as does New Orleans. I think if this thing comes to fruition, (and they were still taking soil samples today) we'll get a very nice and distinctive (iconic, if lucky) building that'll FIT. It'll probably still be too outre for some here, but remember, when the Westin rendering was released, there were some gasps of disapproval from city council...I think the the term "Buck Rogers" was used.
  11. Don't mean to be uninformed, but where is Jolina's? Would love to attend..I'm sure a splash of color would be a good thing.
  12. Nice fantasy, but I can't imagine a board of directors falling for that. If emotional justification was all that was needed, I imagine we'd already be looking at at new Wach > 48 floors
  13. I agree with Pickard Chilton...wonderful portfolio, and the Kuala Lumpur towers are no less than stunning. Their style seems to be slick, sleek and coolly sexy without being gaudy or too avant garde. Somehow not quite Trumpesque. I think some controversy in the skyline is good, but please...quality, not gaudy or strange, like some of the new ick being built/proposed for Paris
  14. Off subject, but did I miss something...what 2 1000 footers does ATL have? I'm only aware of one.
  15. Any idea if Lucky Strike will still be the vendor running the bowling alley? They have such a cool urban chic flair to their operations.
  16. Whatever happenned to Black Finn as a tennant. I thought they were announced last fall?
  17. BTW, how did Dougie manage to scoop the UP forumers, for a change?
  18. Welcome to the new densest part of uptown!...all accomplished with 2 weeks worth of announcements.....300 S. Tryon still to come. This is unfrigginbelievable. Talk about a nice backdrop from BofA stadium...now I only wish something equally pleasing was happenning within BoaA stadium.
  19. It's actually 15% for units over 600K in price....and these are purchase agreements, not refundable reservations.
  20. C'mon, you really think that? I would think the rarefied niche that Sig is trying to attract would very well know about this project....the facade is on a few billboards around town, there has been local and definitely national coverage...as pointed out elsewhere in this thread. I agree with metro m.
  21. Anyone else think that this new tower's rendering bears more than just a passing resemblence to Symphony Tower (ATL)?
  22. I'm just wondering where Kitty is getting all this insider info, and why his/her declarations seem to be so out of sync with most others in this thread.
  23. I can't imagine it's "100% happenning" if presale requirements are not met.
  24. Kitty...how are you so absolutely sure that Lucky Strike is a dead deal, and Fox is on verge of pulling out...do you have any substantive proof, insider info? Please, help a brotha out.
