  1. SCETV or the Columbia WRLK no longer uses that tower. The tower that is currently in use until we switch to full digital operations, is on Hard Scrabble Road, about nine miles north of downtown. A taller relay tower is located in Sumter (tallest thing in Eastern South Carolina) to reach the Pee Dee area another is located in Spartanburg for the Upstate

  3. No I asked a constuction worker the back in March when they had the crane up blocking washington street, they are now aiming for Dec to possibly early 2008, the building is in far worst shape than they thought, and trying to keep up with codes for a historic building are wearing on them.

Well I admit this is a good porject and all of us really want a taller building we must remember beggers can't be choosers. I think once all the construction is finally completed then we will starting seeing more porjects of this same caliber poping up around 5 points, becuase the main issue of the owers of 5 points as stated in the article is trying to win back some of the crowds of the Vista.
  6. The date for the Palmetto Sheraton has been moved back still some major working going on.

  10. I understand it costs money and does take up space but I have seen the success of the one in Charlotte and Sumter is currently building one out of a old plant in downtown so they must not be such bad ideas. But is there anyway we could built a covered bus transit center. I mean I am sure those people do not want be in the building then have to walk out into the rain to board a bus and you can have more buses in the building so they don't block traffic and no large crowd near the road, so no pedrestains possibly getting hit while waiting to board a bus. I mean the one on Sumter street looks new built I just think a covered on would have been better.

    Innovista

Well the reasons why we may not be landing major tendents could be two reasons, the compaines are waiting to see what comes from Innovista or have already commited to other research schools and are not looking for any new space or expanding. Like it was said this is nothing new so there is a chance these compaines have already built at other schools or research areas. But like always I may be wrong.
  16. I discovered a developement yesterday in a werid way, I was down past the SCDOT complex on shop road and I looked over to see this dump truck comming out of the woods and I looked back to noticed a large number of apartments rangeing from 2 to 3 stories going up in the development area does anyone know what in the world is going up over there I mean they are quite nice so its hard to think they are low income considering the area and they are not cookie cutter each building is diffrent and they have cleared a large area of land if i remember i was able to count about 6 buildings up already. This area is just past the railroad tracks if you are heading into columbia from I-77 on shop road. Google maps says its near the Washington Park area between Bluff and Shop Rds
  17. Finlay Park two years ago. haha man I have been here a while.
  18. I classic view at a diffrent angle
