  1. 70% seems a bit steep, but possible. Does anyone on this forum plan on taking the flight during the trial period?
  2. Neat shots vdogg! Good to see you taking more pics! The DE/Royster comparision/contrast is cool.
  3. Yes, fresh angles of downtown are always nice. I wouldn't mind a couple pics of the Cruise Ship Terminal if you wander over that way...
  4. Here's a video on WTKR that talks about the Chesapeake Town Center. They now want to add 220 condos or luxury apartments on top of the retail/office space. I didn't see any renderings in the video, but they said it could be higher than the tallest building in Greebrier, which is 5 stories. So maybe it will have a decent midrise in it.
  5. A little article from the Kent Airport website. It's old, but informative: Cosmos launches US brochure at Kent International Airport
  6. What fantastic photos! You have made my day, gosscj!
  7. Wow, it's almost done! Can you believe it opens in MARCH!?
  8. INCREDIBLE shots. I was so excited looking through these that I was losing my breath.
  9. Awesome pictures! The Rotunda is coming along nicely, and I like the look the brown buildings.
  10. Welcome to the forum, and great first post! I have not been to a Hecht's turn Macy's before, but I have been to a Marshall Field's turn Macy's. I've only been to Macy's in nice malls though (like MacArthur), so I can't confirm your claims about other Macy's. However, you should know that Barnes & Noble is planning to take at least some of the space where the third anchor would go in MacArthur, so as far as I know, we probably won't get another traditional anchor at MacArthur. It would be nice if Macy's built a stand-alone store somewhere downtown though.
  11. Third party pitches Beach hotel project
  12. The state of the city address, or whatever it's called, will be held soon. Expect some annoucements in the near future.
  13. That's not the size of the building, but the size of the site. It is a pretty decent sized site, but hopefully the building will only occupy part of the site so it will be very slender.
  14. Happy Chrismukkuh! (it's not just a combination of Christmas and Hanukkah, it's a cultural reference. does anyone know where it comes from??) but seriously, MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone.
  15. EQ3 sure looks like a neat place. The mall looks sort of empty for this time of year, except for the Apple Store.
  16. Wow, I was not very aware of this development, but it looks pretty good to me.
  17. That's great news. MacArthur Center is much better with this place, and will be even better once Barnes & Noble opens its doors.
  18. Norfolk rejects courthouse bids as too expensive perfect.
  19. Not sure if this is the right thread or not.... Danger in delay of Norfolk courts
  20. Historic building in Norfolk back up to code, owners say
  21. I don't understand it either. Norfolk is on the water (cruise ships, natural beauty, boating), has actual history in it's downtown, has (soon to be pro hopefully) sports, as well as many more skyscrapers and many more in the works. I don't see Town Center outgrowing Norfolk anytime soon.
  22. Most likely not. Although my dad is stationed at Fort Lee, we're all meeting up in Michigan for Christmas. You have no idea how much i'd like to see Hampton Roads though. When I do go, i'll be sure to post my thoughts and pictures, because I'm sure I'll want to remember it.
  23. hahaha. I'm in Northern Indiana near Chicago, IL, and we're expecting 5-8 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow. It's my first big snow storm! I'm sure i'll be sick of the snow soon though...
  24. Since MacArthur recently got a California Pizza Kitchen, I decided to try it because of the good reviews. Boy, I was not disappointed. I went to the CPK in Chicago and it's amazing! I'm so glad they are in Hampton Roads.
  25. That's awesome news. This cruise terminal is really going to be something Norfolk can be proud of, and will really 'up' our status as a cruise port.
