Does anyone have any information on this abutment found off of N Tryon St next to the Mallard Creek Greenway? Google Street View: https://goo.gl/maps/TALRo9NPj6uUpJF2A I've found the opposing abutment through old aerial imaging. This was demolished when Cookout was built. Could this have been the route to Salisbury pre-US 29?

Last week saw some minor construction activity at the Historic Salisbury Station. While I won't be able to contribute much information on the technical aspects of what I see, I will be happy to post photos of this project's progress. I like trains, and I like construction, but I don't get too deep into the details.

As a kid growing up in the 80s and 90s, we claimed our cul-de-sac, coming in at 743', as the highest cul-de-sac in town. Looks like the torch was passed sans our approval. Belcamp Ln

Confirmed. Northbound and southbound are all open. Entrance and exit ramps to the Old Beatty Ford Rd overpass are still closed, but the overpass itself is open.

I'm hearing that all lanes were opened on I-85 between Salisbury and Kannapolis yesterday. A red-letter day for sure!

Jersey barriers are gone for both north and southbound on I-85 between Kannapolis and Salisbury. Southbound travel lanes have shifted over to the new lanes while the previous lanes are being marked. Entrance ramps from the new exit were being paved today. It won't be long now!

Southbound I-85 opens up to four lanes just north of Exit 63 (Kannapolis). The above picture was taken yesterday, headed southbound on approach to Exit 60 (Dale Earnhardt Blvd).
