hmmm make sense. i think the airport-downtown route should be more rapid. as Columbia gets busier. I really think BRT will be best for Columbia in the near future Since rail transit is not looking likely for columbia in the next 20 years I bet once BRT be establish in Columbia we can see a increase in economic growth.

This is my Concept design for BRT in Columbia. just a little something that i thought of. I see it as something that can start a better form of transportation in Columbia the the surrounding areas. giving the people a bus every 5-10 minutes in the most busiest spots in Columbia and around the metro. Also with BRT this can possibly spark more economic growth around areas that has reliable transportation where the BRT Lines runs. also to make it better for people offer Park N Ride. also something that should be done for the Current bus system. I don't see this plan going anywhere in the next few years. but it can be something that can be looked at and planned. for the future

i think its time for the City to look into BRT and Offer more Park N Ride! and also Lexington County needs to look into that also and pay there part for BRT to run throw There county also. look at areas thats in serious need to offer Park n ride to ease the traffic problems.

Gateway station? i might have to look into that. they are trying to get this to Go all the way down to the Central Transit Station in Charlotte.

mmm hmmm SCDOT Mass transit officials went to Realigh,NC NCDOT and had a meeting about that. they are working on that project right now. the construction and service is not expected for another 5 years.

I Just got back from my Personal Conference with the SCDOT Mass transit guy. and he loved my ideas and funny thing is that he said my ideas ties into the city and states idea for future transit. Currently right now Phase one is in progress for a High speed Train running from Downtown Columbia-Downtown Charlotte. im talking with a different guy next time come around he works with COATS and will see through with my ideas for future transit. also for my Interstate idea. i will explain the interstate one on the Traffic Forum.

i got a Meeting set up with SCDOT About future Rail transit in Columbia and South Carolina. im going soon i got the date but i rather not say. i will just give yall the results afterwards. Off topic a bit kinda random. just thought of this last night. its an old idea i had. i revisited it. If Columbia and richland county ever thinks abotu in the next 20 years of getting into better Transit. i had this idea called the 2030 Plan. The Light rail transit idea i had with the Red and blue line. also my Idea for the Main st Subway. that runs from the Starlite area side of town s. columbia- blythwood. and also connects to The center transit center/Amtrak. this is just the Downtown look Also im thinking Streetcar on Assembly also. someone suggested that to me.

Election night Richland county Voters voted No on the penny Sale tax. Meaning our Bus system is about to Fail big time.

NEW BUS! On W Beltline Blvd. Funny thing is that behind this was another one and then another new one coming the other way. i love them. now if i can ride them
