Maumelle Fine Wines & Spirits is building a new and bigger location and relocating there.

I think most were hoping for something more community oriented but it's one less empty lot and they've really spent a lot of money rehabilitating the lot. The building and landscaping look very presentable.

I spend a lot of time working with retail stores - particularly Kroger. I've spoken with the store managers and district personnel who confirm a late '13 early '14 opening of the remodel and expansion. They rearranged everything to get customers used to the new layout to minimize disruption and confusion later on.

The recently opened Kroger store in Maumelle is in the process of being reset to prepare for a remodel and expansion into a Kroger Marketplace in 2013.

I've seen many independent Kroger/Dillon Fuel Centers in other states ... but this will be the first for Arkansas.

Construction of another Chick-Fil-A on W. Markham in front of the Home Depot is progressing rapidly!

Maumelle has completed resurfacing work on Club Manor, Millwood, and North/South Odom. Academics Plus Charter School's new elementary building is progressing rapidly and promises to be complete in time for the next school year. Which is great because my son will be in 2nd grade there! Although the city is requiring A+ to build a '$65 thousand hole" .. .i.e. a water retention collection site. This isn't going over very well with neighbors who have already started filing out petitions against it.
