    The Independent Men's Store on Kavenaugh is leaving Hillcrest. They are consolidating with their Springdale store. Baumans will once again be the only real choice for men's upscale clothing.

    I hope and pray that we get a Ralph Lauren outlet.

    The most appropriate name would be "seasonal service;" however, it is GREAT news. It's better news than losing another city/flight. ;-)

    I have heard that there will be an Off 5th Saks Outlet from a reliable source. We will see. I would LOVE to see a Nordstrom Rack! It isn't out of the realm of possibility they do put them where there are no main stores.

    I understand the pessimism but the traffic around this center is heavy. People are coming out and shopping and dining. I think Tipton Hurst is a great addition. It is the most "upscale" florist/decor store in Little Rock. The big issue is our retail scene is too diversified by locations —Midtowne, Shackleford Crossing, Pleasant Ridge, etc... I think this center will survive...too many homes and apartments out there for it to go under. IMHO

    Yes, I remember the SLC service it was 9/11 & bankruptcy that closed that down.

    Just talked with one of the elders of the Baptist church on JFK, they sold Dogtown Cafe building to Dunkin Donuts. It will be a Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robbins...

    I know the Pei Wei manager personally. They are planning a new store to open in the spring on an out parcel at Pleasant Ridge. Also, NLR will get a store but only after 2nd LR store and the NWA store.

    Actually the hotel being built is a Courtyard by Marriott. It is close to being completed.

    I agree that they need more destination-type stores, but we often drive from NLR to eat at Big Orange, shop at Anthropologie, J Crew, Nike, and Apple. I don't think the center is in trouble with tenants like Apple, etc. My opinion would be they lowered their retail tenant standards to fill the center. I do think they need some more exclusive stores to Arkansas to continue to broaden their base of appeal in the LR Metro.

    I wonder if they are possibly coming to the NLR Backyard Burgers location too. There are construction dumpsters in front of the building...

    They left before Apple came into the center.

    Good riddance! It's a cheap clothing line that has no business in an upscale center like the Promenade. IMHO The Promenade should be housing places like Brooks Brothers, Pottery Barn Kids, etc...

    We now have a new name for our airport. The Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport at Adam's Field. I have no problem with naming it after Bill, but why include Hillary too? Also, why not name it the William J. Clinton National Airport. It would match what other airports have done. Just my opinion.

    Ross Dress for Less is being added to the shopping center which houses Michaels and Bed, Bath, & Beyond. This is behind La Quinta Inn on Warden Road side of 67-167.

    The Arkansas Times is reporting that Whole Hog will be a food service vendor at the airport. Finally something great to eat!!!

    LIT tweeted today that LIT-DTW will be operated by Go Jet service for Delta. It operates Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Is that a mainline jet?

    Was eating a Pei Wei yesterday and noticed that Alfred Angelo Bridal has moved next to the Evolve Store. It looks temporary. Maybe they are going to take the Evolve space in as well. So, what do you think is happening? That leaves a large chunk empty —former Lewis & Clark space and Alfred Angelo space. Hopefully someone is considering taking over the entire space... (Fingers crossed.)
