  1. Yes, they have stopped mainline service. We now have only CRJ service to ATL.
  2. I went to YaYa's European Bistro last night. It was packed! I was so surprised. The food was delicious. I had the double pork chop with spinach/potato gratin. My wife's pizza was a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. The dessert made it all worthwhile! Dark chocolate brownie wrapped in filo pastry dough with carmel and ice cream. YUMMY!!!! It's not cheap though. Our tab was $68 with tip. I feel certain that when the other stores see/hear about the success of the restaurant they will continue on with their plans. I did notice that Ann Taylor Loft is about to open... BTW, YaYa's is owned by the same company that owns Red Robin out of Kansas City. Maybe we will get a Red Robin!!
  3. I'm not a huge fan of Dillard's (except the additional 50% off of clearance sale), but Macy's, in smaller markets (such as Little Rock), would be a significant downgrade. For example, Dillard's carries Hickey Freeman suits, Hugo Boss suits, etc... Macy's (I'm not talking a NYC or Chicago store) doesn't generally have the upper end clothing. Macy's may put Dillard's on their toes in refurbishment of stores, but not in merchandise. IMHO
  4. I noticed that a Hilton Garden Inn is being built on East McCain Blvd. It is right across from Walmart/Lowe's. It seems an interesting place for a hotel... It will be a new addition to the Metro area, although Conway does has one.
  5. Actually, I emailed Red Robin (it's my favorite burger place) and received a response that they were planning to open two locations one in the McCain Mall area and one in the West Little Rock area. It has been several months ago, so I'm not for sure if their plans are the same...
  6. Actually, I spoke to the regional manager of Red Robin via email a few months back. He said that they plan to put a restaurant in North Little Rock (McCain Mall/Lakewood Village area) and one in Little Rock (Chenal area). I emailed him again and he said that the projects have been put on hold, but they do plan to come to our market. What I have heard about Joe's Crab Shack.... They were originally looking at the NLR Tia's site... I haven't heard anything in a long time though... Probably not happening! So much for Zapata Grill – which is already gone.
  7. I understand all the speculation, but Apple STILL has the Promenade listed as the location of its first Little Rock retail store. To be honest, it surprises me that Apple would have already posted the store on its website. But, I think that if the store had been cancelled they would remove it from their site.
  8. I was driving threw the center and saw the possible site for the Apple store. The exterior is unfinished and barricaded. If I'm not mistaken it's the only space that doesn't have any type of exterior already built, which could be waiting on the sleek stainless-steel exterior/lighted apple logo that appears on most Apple stores. The space looks like the right size for an Apple store too! Let's hope it will become a reality!!!
  9. Although Apple is very closed-mouth about future stores and products, on Apple's website it lists a store going in at the Promenade. Here is the URL: http://jobs.apple.com/index.ajs?BID=2&...sitionLocations I even applied for a job with Apple!!! =)
