  1. I always find it exciting that there is enough activity in the market to justify new development. We gained Azul Tequila and Tazikis with the last building. Both are solid additions to Bentonville.
  2. Dusty Graham is Tim Graham's (Pinnacle/Hunt Partner) son. They do all Hunt projects.
  3. Big old Barrier? The building is right up on the road. Regarding the new tower, it is 9 stories and mostly glass, with a brick base and brick on the corners. It is curved and modern, similar to most of Core's current work.
  4. Walmart isn't moving their headquarters or building new headquarters. The WAC will likely be located on the old fairgrounds, not on Central.
  5. There are only too many when people don't shop them...Apparently there aren't enough.
  6. When NWA reaches 1,000,000+ population. I know there are other markets with less people that have a D&B, but our overall demos are lacking and we need more people to make up the difference.
  7. It is planned to go north of Fast Lane, in Rogers.
  8. Very much within the property owner's rights and probably a good strategy in Fayetteville, given how emotional people get over a project and not necessarily a zoning. More likely to strike it down if they have an agenda.
  9. Hearing that Fellowship Church has land under control in that area, but not sure if it is Park West.
  10. And also taking the shopping center behind Kobe, where Acambaro is located.
  11. Consider the fact that NWA is a collection of numerous small towns growing far beyond what they were planned to be. Downtown Fayetteville, Rogers, Springdale, and Bentonville are all grids, but the growth to the suburbs of each city and all the areas in between have created the traffic issues. There was no single city with a city center that could be the nucleus the MSA grew from. That's going to be the challenge we battle for the foreseeable future.
  12. Once again Fayetteville shoots itself in the foot.
  13. Not happening...A familiar River Market developer doesn't feel there needs to be bars or lounges in the area and used political sway to keep Stir and Shotz out of the La Harpe building.
  14. Very well said and you and I have both read Ms. Marsh's tactics in the same manner. I think this in in Chapter 1 of the book "Negotiating to get what you want" subtitle "Without giving up a darn thing you cared about".
  15. JC Penney not doing anything and locked in longterm. Dillards is the lead at the Landing.
  16. The park site was chosen after a lengthy search. Not sure where else to find an inexpensive huge chunk of land for the development of park that is near the city center. At least this area can be easily accessed from I-540. Thoughts?
  17. Your prime spot is very shallow and has major elevation issues. A very small user may be able to do something there, but it will tough with setbacks and other city requirements.
  18. The contracted property include the small warehouse buildings previously owned by Lazenby and I believe the homeless shelter and potentially the carwash. I only know the warehouses for certain.
  19. Would help for the U of A to own a property if they are going to master plan it
  20. I don't believe it has sold, but it is under contract. They are rezoning for...wait for it.... Student Housing
  21. My fault. Misunderstanding of the law. Thanks for clarifying.
  22. Not really. No sales tax benefit on auto sales for the city. Gives Springdale a great corner at DTP and 71 that will redevelop into something revenue producing.
