  1. Would be a great spot to eventually have the Orlando Mueseum of art (or another public arts building) if they still want to move downtown.

They hyperloop technology would definitely be ideal to get to Miami. Personally I wish this tech followed I-95 with spurs to Orlando/Tampa and other major cities up the to east coast.

Sustainable doesn’t mean it is not an investment. Eventually the state will stop funding operations and that bill (that they are already complaining about) will fall on the counties. It’s vital to get the frequency of trains to the point of making sense for more than just commuters. We could use a few of the ~70 million tourist’s to help make the finances possible to increase frequency and also reduce demand on our highways. The airport is essential to the system and so is eventually connecting to the attractions. Toll roads are built to break even as a system over many years and allow for continual reinvestment. The same should be the goal for our train system even if we never get to the break even point.

To make sunrail sustainable they have to figure out how to get tourists to use it. Adding the airport would be a big step. Anything to reduce the amount of rental cars on the road has my support.
  5. Ideally this design would incorporate some of the historic buildings (like the greater refuge memorial church) rather than knock them down.
  6. AMC had a long-term lease on the building and it was never busy from the get go. Rumor back than was AMC wanted 8 theatres but Disney wanted it to be small. They pay the rent and I’m sure at a good rate so the management isn’t going to let them out of the deal that’s favorable financially. The topic of incorporation has come up a few times but financially that’s a huge commitment. When they build island village maybe the numbers will make it more plausible.
  7. Considering what’s there now (an old parking lot) this will be a nice improvement. It does look like everything else but it’ll be a positive to the community to have more affordable housing in the area. The retail space it sounds like they are hoping UCF will rent it.
  8. OBJ article online today says 26 stories and also provides a new name "church street plaza"
  9. It looks almost ready for pavement the last time I drove by.

I pass this project daily and in the last week it looks like they are ramping up the vertical construction. Also, the retail building is in progress of being updated as well.
  11. Just happened by coincidence to take a picture today of this project. The space has been empty for a long time so this is great to see something finally going in.
  12. This seems more like decor to me. Bikes/runners are still going to cross roads downtown.
  13. Just wish the hotel portion was a bit taller and I would love the design of this building. Hotels downtown imo are the key to sustaining restraunts and attracting more retail.
  14. It pushes online ticket re-sale (i.e. More money for them and data on the buyers).
  15. Of the three games I've been to I haven't had to wait more than two minutes to get in while entering on the north side of the stadium. I actually appreciate the fact the team doesn't have a huge parking lot adjacent to the stadium. It makes it feel much more part of the community. It also spreads out traffic so getting home has been easier.
