  1. Stephen, I've got a good one for you. How about The Coffee Bean!!! I know you know what I'm talking about. That is one of my first stops when I hit LA!!!
  2. That is sooo awesome!!! I sure would like to see more!!!
  3. Yahoo is reporting that Harrah's accepted a buyout. I wonder how this will affect our Harrah's. This may be another reason they never built the hotel. Will there be a name change? I hope that Harrah's doesn't end up like Isle of Capri did, nice place gone sleezy. Here's the story about the buyout. Harrah's said to agree to $16.7B buyout
  4. I never have good information, but I think I may finally have some! I was told that the Just for Feet building was bought (or being bought), and the new owner plans on making it a steakhouse. I was told that this person just opened a nightclub downtown also. It's too bad that it will be a steakhouse, but good that it will be something other than vacant. I think that building could make a cool restaurant. Hey Stephen or Brian (aren't both of you on loopnet?), could one of you look up this property to see if it sold? One more thing, I found this story on Shreveport Times about a fourth house to be featured on "What You Get for the Money." Local home will be on "What You Get for the Money" on HGTV
  5. Sounds good, Saints fans unite! First order of business is to make fun of the Cowgirl fans!
  6. Wow, that was ugly, if you are a Dallas fan (Brian)! It was beautiful to us Saints fans. Maybe you should come over to our side Brian! Have you moved that ornament to the back yet??? I know I would have, by half time!!! Woohoo!!!
  7. That just seems so odd. Buffalo wings all week long and still losing weight. All the talk of omelettes is making me green. Something about all those eggs and all that cheese makes me sick. I cannot eat an omelette. I'm glad it works for you because I could not do it if I had too. Maybe when you're done you could pitch it to WingStop! Isn't Troy Aikman their guy?
  8. After Sunday night you are going to have to move that thing to the back of the tree!!!
  9. That's cool, if you can handle it, more power to you. I just could not do it. If it were not for getting sick it is a cool diet. All meat all the time!!!
  10. I don't know that Shaggy or Velma would claim that guy! Maybe you wouldn't mind being a member, but I don't know that you would want to look like any of those guys. It's funny that they happened to be a band, because when I was looking at the picture I was thinking it looked like an album cover.
  11. How do you do Atkins? I was on that one time and it made me sooo sick. If it didn't work, I would think it was the worst diet ever!
  12. Right now, the only options for a Colorado, Canyon or H3 is the 4 or 5 cylinder (I don't think a 4 is an option in the H3, only the 5). I hate that they have a 5 cylinder rather than a V6. Although, when I bought mine, I believe that the V6 had between 190 and 200 hp but the 5 cylinder had 220 hp. The 5 cylinder also gets 20 mpg. The 5 cylinder may be a good option for the Colorado and Canyon, but for a H3 or H3T? It seems inferior. They definitely need a V6 in those. To me, the H3 or H3T having a 5 cylinder seems laughable.
  13. I think that they need to build the H3 on a larger chasis. Now they are building it on the same one as the Colorado and Canyon. I have one, and let me tell you, they are small and not very smooth. My wife rode in an H3 and said it was not any better than the Colorado. I would like to see them do something about that. As far as the H3T goes, that thing looks so awesome. I wouldn't mind driving one. This thing would be another notch in the belt for Shreveport.
  14. Yeah, that's pretty cool when your house can dwarf your pool and tennis court!!!
  15. Apparently the Shreveport Times is saying that the proposed new assembly line in Shreveport would be for the Hummer H3T. I thought this is a cool photo. I got it from dieselstation.com! Edit: Sorry, It's kinda big.
  16. Here is an article about a possible GM expansion in Shreveport. GM wants to build "a new truck product" in Shreveport and they are wanting the local authorities to eliminate sales and use taxes on purchases of manufacturing equipment. Let's hope that our local authorities help GM make a $70 million expansion in Shreveport an easy decision. This is what we need, more growth. GM eyes Shreveport plant for new truck product
  17. I hope so also, because back in August when we had the Saints - Cowboys game, they did not show the area at all. It made me so mad. During the fourth quarter they showed 1 brief shot from the Boardwalk. I could not believe it!
  18. I was up by Brookshires when it started sleeting today. I was hoping for something more, but as you know, it ended pretty quick.
  19. Come on, we just want more. Can you blame us for wanting more??? Besides I'm sure Memphis' perks far out weigh our two four-level stacks!
  20. The Toyota plant isn't open yet? I thought that it was. Most people think that the merger won't happen because Tech isn't going to move and LSUS would still be a satellite campus. I think that they just need to expand LSUS, build some dorms and give themselves some publicity. An image change could also help.
  21. Yeah, they obviously must think they are more important that Louisiana does. Our leaders do not understand how much accessibility means to companies apparently. I guess they thing S'port is good with I-20 and I-49 to south Louisiana. We don't need to go anywhere else! I mean why would we want a direct route to Houston, Texarkana, Memphis or Indianapolis???
  22. I was thinking, it would be nice if for now, they built the stretch from I-20 to south Shreveport and build to it when the time comes. That would be so nice, but of course that won't happen. It will probably be 10 - 15 years before we see any movement, don't you think? Arkansas has built I-49 almost to Louisiana and we are barely clearing the land. It also sounds like that proposal by the treasurer to give $100 mil of the surplus to I-49 is going to get trashed because Blanco is too busy trying to give everyone raises to secure her re-election. There has been no mention of that but that is the way I am seeing it.
  23. I think there is a guy that is or was working for the city (I think) that was in the Shreveport Times way back saying the same thing. That would be crazy to have 3 major interstates going to SBC! I will be really happy if we could just get our 2nd completed!
  24. I think that I heard that it is Mexican food prepared a la Shogun. Is that correct? Interesting that they are all on the Bossier side of the river.
