  1. A mini-endorsement of orlando from a semi celebrity http://orlando.metromix.com/movies/article.../629864/content
  2. lol. Thanks for the pics Demon, but were you hiding behind the bushes?
  3. My first three words maybe insensitive, but I stand by the rest of my remarks. My statement was towards an individual in that article who was a prostitue with a criminal record. If you feel sorry for him, thats your right. So lighten up with your political correctness. The next DOP on September 18 will be hosted at Embers. I probably will check it out.
  4. How are the prices? Sangrias at Ceviche is like $6 a glass or $16 a pitcher (4 glasses). It is worth it for me to drive there instead of walking to ceviche? Road trip!
  5. She, he, it have had prosmicous sex, been in prison for burglary, aggravated battery, and prostitution. I am so glad Orlando is fair.
  6. Woo hoo....was drinking at Cheyenne at the outside balcony last nite, and Mr. Bob Snow and his wife was next to me. Got to talk with him for a bit, seems like a nice guy. Good to see alot of foot traffic on church street from orange ave to Cheyenne/Ceviche.
  7. thanks for the info. I agree with making the auto lane secondary to the busline. I sometime feel i can walk faster than taking the bus. Maybe the Food Not Bombs folks can host the homeless olympics. Instead of medals 3rd place will be food, 2nd place is booze, and 1st place is cigarettes.
  8. Does anyone know how to get to downtown from I-4 heading east? Seems that exit 82C (exit left to south street) is now discontinued. Also, i gotta rant about the free lymmo bus. I use it alot to go from central to the TD Waterhouse for tennis. The bus will stop for a long time even when there are no traffic , and on top of that, when the light is green on the car lane, the bus still wait awhile before it can proceed. Oh, and the passengers smells too......
  9. i think at least a year ago, prob. from lack of business, not sure. The investers behind that bar I think were also for the Bong Vodka. Nothing have replaced that bar since. Thats a prime location too.
  10. Does anyone know why Tastimo (sp?) located at Lincoln Plaza closed for business? Unfortunate cuz I liked that place.
  11. I went there during lunch. I didnt get that WOW first impression. First thing coming to my mind was that it reminded of the arrival/depart area of an airport. I think i need to see more detail illustrations to get me more excited.

    The VUE

In my opinion, it didnt make sense to have a restaraunt/bar/club underneath the VUE, it is too far to walk and would be too complicated to park. On top of that, the surrounding areas doesnt seem to have future potential for dining or retail in stimulate that area. I think something inline of a brand name bookstore or retail store will be nice. Speaking of eola 101, I saw that a sign for a tequila bar there. It may be old news, but thats what i saw sunday. It will compliment the Beacon crowd well.
  13. Here are some pics i took before (2006ish) and after (Aug 2008). BEFORE AFTER BEFORE AFTER
  14. I wouldnt call a 10% decrease in crime a "plummet", but any decrease in crime are welcomed.
  15. Yea, they have that karaoke live band thing everything Wednesday nights, similar to Voyeur on Pine every Sunday night. But Voyeur is way more pack than Bliss. Also, the environment inside Bliss isnt all that luxurious or nicely decor, even Antigua is better looking inside. I miss Rythm and Flow.
  16. I thought it was good.....was hoping that they show more street sceneries of downtown and park avenue though. It was too site specific. Did I hear she mentioned that the Wine Room in WP has the most wine to taste in the world? Also I thought I saw a commercial where she will be in cocoa beach to swim with the manetees in an upcoming show?

    The VUE

so can us UP members print this post and use it as our invitation? lol......i played tennis at the Vue last week, it was hard to serve, when you look up, you are distracted by Dyntech, lol....and as a tennis player, was dissappointed with the court because they painted both basketball lines and tennis line together, very confusing
  18. This is just a shot I got Friday night at Pine and Orange. what is that blue light in the sky? Probably some camera effects, but looks very extraterrestrial.
  19. ^^^ nerd alert nerd alert.....ha ha just teasing

  21. ^^^ thats hot........and the restaraunts too.
  22. Finally had a chance to check out Cheyenne last night. That place is huge! and polished! Its funny how the demographics are so different in this club compared to others (which is a great thing). Ages ranged from college (albiet few) to seniors, ha ha. There was this one old lady (with down syndrome) dancing by herself on the dance floor to Baby got Back, and everyone was cheering her on! I dont think you would have seen that at any other clubs downtown. It was great fun. Covers was $5 and beer $5. Bartenders and employees there were very nice. Oh, and the country music rocked!
