Look, It's hard to fix the old sewers in Shockoe Bottom and If they were fixed this would have still happened. Maybe not as high as it got yesterday, but it would have still happened because the rain primeraly was not falling on the bottom, it was falling over downtown and washed down the hill to the bottom. So it's going to build up water in the bottom. What's needed to be done is make a new and better sewage system down there and also not have it connect to the rest of the city's sewage system because that's also playing a factor in this flood. Plus any place that gets 3 inches of rain in a half hour will flood, there's no way of stopping it. And the reason why other parts of the region didn't flood is because the heaviest rains fell over Richmond. And no one is going to distroy Shockoe Bottom and make it a creek it's too histroric and it doesn't flood every thunderstorm, this storm was special it dropped 3 inches of rain in a half an hour!

Work for that money and save up and you can get anything you want. That's what I try to do when I shop and go tro the store, I need a better job, I just don't like to work long hours.

You are a good historian, but you need to see it from another side. Black people still are abit angry against whites. Dude, my family lives and Jackson Ward and my Garandmother's from Jackson Ward and she's Black and We've seen how the Caucasian population in the area has boomed since 2004. On the other thing you said I said about I95, I64, and I85 do not go under what I was talking about the population boom, I maybe didn't seperate them. We do have all of the highways because all of them come into our metro. Not for a population boom. Now in Short Pump you can accually say that Highway project is for Population boom because of West broad villiage and the house that are going there and, for what is already there traffic jams and rush hour. And everyone nows that more homes and people will move to that area. Also Jackson Ward North and South (Up top - Down Bottom) were both conected and the part of jackson ward around 2 st is what I'm talling about. Accually nothing about the centinnial towers plans have changed yet. We are still waiting. So stop getting all worked up. Richmond's had some great new the past month, Crime is down, Neighborhoods are safer, less junkies are on the street, more people are going to college, the city communicating with it's area, population in downtown is bombing and I know this because I live there. The county of Henrico which hates it's own city is doing bad this month just really one thing good happend and that was last night. Here's the bad teens dying in crashes almost all from the same school and, shootings, after shootings, after shooting. I'ved lived in the ghetto and we got on average 3 shootings a year most of the time no one got shot and they where spreed out months apart months apart not day's in the suburbs it's days apart that really scares me so look at your own neighborhood and self and change stuff then sitting around talking about somethings that moving and trying to do bussiness then sitting around waiting r bussines to come to you.

Great Short Pump. One day I think they're going to brack from Henrico and become the City of Short Pump. I think, it's just a suggestion, I think we should make a differant forum for Short Pump because of its development boom. Soon by 2010-2012 we won't be calling it suburban anymore.

Yes, but also they said that they were not staying at the diamond. they want a new one. Which I think that what VCU and they city will be doing, but the Braves still may not go a long with that. And I would hate it if they leave the city for the county. But also the mayor hasn't talk to the braves yet. but if they do, we shall see who's right. Which you could be because I only really watch newses 8 and 6 and I go by what they say, it could be differant on 12. But sometimes we can't be going around saying the braves are staying because they said before they were going to stay and leave in a few years if they don't get what they want. So of course they'll say there they're stayting in Richmond, but that doesn't mean they're staying for long or they're staying in the city. So we'll just have to wait and hear form the braves (I hope this afternoon).

Also, I have to add, this is the mayors word, not the braves he hasn't talk to them for a month, and he doesn't rule them around. So in accuallity the Brave could be leaving still, it's just that the Mayor believe VCU stepping in to help them could make them stay in Richmond City.
