This should have been in the Urban Discussion subforum because I have a list of cities outside the south too. Oh, well, here goes:

Chicago - The city of buildings that cast a 2-mile long shadow!

New York - The city that stays awake high on pep pills.

Los Angeles - where the air smells like sh*t every single days of the year

Houston - Bayou capital of the west part of the south.

New Orleans - Bayou capital of the east central part of the south.

Atlanta - The nation's Black Town.

San Francisco - the city that doesn't want cheap to poor people

Lafayette - swampy as hell kind of a place. HINT: Atchafalaya

Las Vegas - I sleep from 6 in the morning to 6 in the evening with glasses on and my eyes closed.

Tampa - If you're a redneck you'll lovve this city

Salt Lake City - there is salt in your tap water, not chlorine

Boston - the nation's last Black-hater town

DC - the city of death

Detroit - the city of poor self-esteem

Pittsburgh - Corroded metal capital of the world!

^LOL I'm glad you like it! I lived in Greenville for two years. That was the first thing that came to mind when I thought of it. I don't have any problems with people of faith, I consider myself one, however I have a problem when it is consistantly poured down my throat.

I agree. I guess that's why you left. If you ever get the urge to move back, just read the vile letters to the editor for the Greenville News (www.greenvilleonline.com).

Speaking of which, does anyone know the chapter and verse for the bible passage below?

"blessed are the self-rightous, for they shall inherit the earth"

O.K. that was a nice bit of Christianity bashing... but back on topic guys!

Houston : Who knew we are home to America's wealthiest zip code?

Dallas : (To Fort Worth) There aint enough room in this town for the both us...

Oklahoma City : Yeehaw! Horse show Capitol of Ye World!!!

Austin : We hate Oklahoma City's guts, them and their Sooooooners.

Norman : America's college town

San Antonio : Hola senior!

New Orleans : Relax baby, your in the Big Eeeeasy. (gun shots are heard off in the distance)

Well... that's all I have time for. Tell me what you think.

O.K. That was my satirical, "If the Cities could talk..."

Howabout my useless facts.

Atlanta: Atlanta Hartsfield Airport is the nation's busiest.

Houston: The city's River Oaks neighborhood, home to George and Barbara Bush, is the nation's wealthiest.

New Orleans: The second oldest city in the South.

Tulsa: Oil Capitol of The World.

Oklahoma City: The second most governent workers per capita.

Austin: Forbes ranked top American city, though it is hardly American.

Norman: Tied for nation's most national championships with Notre Dame.

Dallas: Nation's friendliest city to small business.

Gosh, this stuff is so boring to pull out of you ***. Hey you, Wake up!

How many of you all knew that Oklahoma City also has the nation's highest standard of living-Wikipedia?

David.

I like the Dallas-Fort Worth, New Orleans ones!

And just to clear up I'm not bashing Christianity I consider myself Christian, I just don't appreciate other Christians telling me how I should practice my beliefs thats all.

Ditto.

BTW Sandlapper, while I agree about the Greenville News, you wouldn't be surprised to know that many in town consider that newspaper to be a "liberal rag". To some only the John Birch Society newsletter is truly conservative.
