Great shot Zissou! Many people are going to have an amazing view from their lofts in Broderick Tower.

Very true. Ive got some more shots looking in the same direction from varying heights that I will have to post once I get them up. I think it will be the city's best residential structure once it is finished.

That reminds me. Those HDR night pictures from other roofs look like 3-d video game graphics when you only see the new street scape and the rennovated buildings. It would be great for making a Sim City 5 april fools joke. It would be really easy to add in an interface and some selection cursors and stuff.

Yup that HDR was taken from the west side of Woodward on top of the Whitney Building. This one is from the Broderick so its a little east and probably about 10 floors higher up.

Excellent photo! I'll be interested to see the lighting scheme for the BC when it's fully up and running, again. BTW, the Capitol Park Building always sticks out from this view despite it being so small. And, it sticks out because it's mostly vacant, but more so than many other buildings from this view. That would be a great renovation project.

Does anyone know of any photos of downtown that do a good job of showing all of it, while still being close enough to give a good sense of scale?

We have a lot of buildings, but they're not arranged to make the most impressive skyline.

It's close enough...they've been putting the lights on the trees on W. Grand Blvd. for about a week now. Progress is slow, but it's happening.

Since I moved into lafayettte Towers a couple weeks ago, I've been wondering what that big red roof was. I just assumed it was a cross between IHOP and Red Roof Inn.

Red? I thought it was bright orange. At least that's how the church was built and how it appears in a book from the 80s, I haven't actually seen it in person.

The sunset last night was absolutely stunning...I wish I'd had my camera handy. It was refreshing to wake up and see the sun rising over downtown on my way to school.
