A non profit group is trying to save the 130 year old home on Augusta Street that is up for sale. Really freightening that in this day and age, any developer would consider destroying such a major piece of Greenville's history. My question, being a 130 year old home, can't a historic designation by the city, state, etc by applied to protect it? How are historic designations applied?
