Odd that they included Barnard Observatory and omitted Ventress Hall. Barnard has an interesting history, but nowhere near as visually compelling, imo.

Ventress Hall is indeed a visually compelling building. I haven't seen it since its restoration, but it has a long history. Didn't William Faulkner once have an office inside somewhere?

That was a very interesting experience I just had looking at the 12 Most admired buildings in Mississippi. I especially enjoyed reading that the modern Mississippi capitol building was built for just above $1 Million by the Illinois Rail Road company for back taxes owed to the state of Mississippi.
