I've seen it too. The new Days Inn logo has the sunburst like the one shown above (Though it says "Days Inn" on 28th, not "Days Hotel").

Nice new paint job going up as I write this. It looks like a brick red on the west side and a sandstone color on the north side. Anyone want to get a picture?

I would be surprised if they do anything beyond paint to the exterior of the building. I think the bulk of the work is interior work. I would expect some landscape too, but I have no clue

If nothing else, the paint job makes it blend in with other buildings instead of stick out. In this case, that is a good thing.

Yes, better then the white. I have to say I'm not a huge fan of the cultured stone in an urban setting. It's seems to fit residential and suburban office parks better.

Considering the grade/brand of the hotel, it can really only get so much better unless it's rebranded. It is, after all, a Days Inn. Good news, nonetheless.

I was in the lobby not long ago and saw the interior designers concept boards mounted on the wall. They are using very nice materials and it appeared to me that the exterior colors are an extension of the interior colors. I drove by this morning and thought the colors looked really nice on the building. Lets face it...no matter what color(s) they choose, one of us wouldn't like them! Good job Days Inn!

I think it's great. It will definitely fit in with the neighborhood more now. It may even look like it belongs there now.

I drove by the other day and it looked like a wing of the museum. As I drove down Pearl toward the river, it actually related to the new parking deck across the river at the JW. A complete little vignette in our beloved downtown.
