Another great view and capture, Richy!

Here are two painting from a great book of mine called "Classic New Orleans;" the first photo is from 1841 and the second is from the 1880's.

New Orleans seen from the Westbank of the Mississippi River in 1841:

Thanks for the classsic New Orleans pics Nate; some impressive history. I really like the aerial, amazing to see how big the city was even way back then.

Nice Moon shot, great weather conditions too!

Another shot from the Shaw Center for the Arts roof-top terrace

Wow! Thanks for sharing that Nate. Nice shot there, the Louisiana State Capitol is a one of a kind! A serious bold move to build way back in 1932!!

You bet, Richy! And we can just about 100% thank 'the Kingfish" for it all. A unique and beautiful capitol for a unique and beautiful state.

^Yeah you right Nate

Keeping the State Capitol theme; looking north down Fourth Street

*similar shot taken previously, but from slightly different angle

>Directly behind where this was taken will be the New Courthouse. It's illuminating section will be on a direct axis with the State Capitol on the opposite end. That was kind of a cool idea IMO. This intersection angles to the right to make that possible and turns into St. Ferdinand then historic Highland Road.

That's probably my favorite street vista in all of Baton Rouge, Richy. I love the line of varying buildings, and then the Capitol above all at the end.

Some more of my nature shots, all of them showing that Spring is closing in!

Wow Nate, that's as clear as a photo gets! Especially with the detail of the flowers in the second pic. :camera: Impressive shot getting the little bee live in action too! You certainly picked a great day to take them for sure.

Thanks for the props of Fourth Street. I love downtown Baton Rouge.

Great shot Nate. I really enjoy the nature scenes. It almost looks 3-D. Absolutely incredible what digital cameras can do these days. My Mom really needs to check these photos out, she's a Professional Artist, I bet she would enjoy them too.
