Stench between Greensboro and Sedalia

Does anyone know what that sewage stink is off of US 70 between Sedalia and a couple of miles before you get to the Greensboro city limit?? It ALWAYS smells there and I was wondering if there is a water treament plant there or just bad water service or something else. My dad says it has smelled like that for the past 30 years or so. Just curious.

I'm not sure but i think there are a lot of plants in that area so it may have something to do with that

I know there is a water treatment plant east of Greensboro on the north side. I don't know what it could be because I use to go through there all the time and not smell anything.
