Should be topic or thread at least.  Old San Juan is the oldest city in American territory.  Settled by the Spanish in 1521.  This city should be a must see on any American's list of places to visit.  Major cruise port of course but I would fly here and take a walking tour which is the only way to really city Old San Juan.

Here are some photos of the Viejo San Juan from this week.  (and this is just a sampling of what Old San Juan has to offer)

few  more from Rincon on the west end of the island known for its surfing (though I did not see many big waves the day I went)   Last photo is of Town of Aquada.    Famous Domes beach.  Nearby lighthouse.

Wish there were some Puerto Ricans on here who could keep us posted on development there.  Was there for about two weeks in January, love Charlotte but wasn't unhappy that I missed my initial flight back lol.  It was tough leaving the 80+ degree weather there in January.  There is just so much to do and see here, and anyone remotely considering a visit should just make it happen.  Flights are pretty cheap (CLT connecting through MCO to SJU was about $160 round trip before adding carry ons).  SJU seemed nicer than the last I was there about four years ago.  Wasn't able to get many pics of new construction but a number of towers going up especially in the Condado area.
