Great pictures.  I have never been to Marshall, so these downtown pictures are insightful so to speak!!

Sylva today.  County seat of Jackson County.   Old Courthouse on the hill is the library.  Looked like 90% plus occupancy on downtown storefronts from what I saw.  Jackson County 43,000 people from 2022 Census.  Many many more 2nd home residents and visitors.

tiny town of Dillsboro next to Sylva in beautiful Jackson County NC. The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad stops here.
