Mebane's new Buc-ee's will have this:

74,000 sq ft ,32.5 acres,  120 fueling pumps, 24 EV chargers (this would be the biggest such concentration in NC open to the public)  652 parking spots.  225 jobs average wage $45,600 payroll $9 Million

annual taxable sales conservative estimate of $30 Million

$2.1 million in property taxes to the county 

all lfrom the presentation to the town of Mebane when this was approved.

Not sure other restaurants and sometimes hotels pop up around Bucees from what I have seen nationwide.  

I noticed driving by on I-85 this past weekend that the site looks like it is being graded already.

Plans have been filed with Graham’s planning department for a 19,600-square-foot strip shopping center at 1205 East Harden Street (NC 54).  Some of the 5.11-acre lot has been cleared, with a large mound of dirt prompting much curiosity beside the highway.  The lot is just beyond Ivey Road and across from the entrance into Raspberry Ridge subdivision.  According to the plans filed with the city, the center would have as many as 14 separate, 20′ x 70′ storefronts; the full length of the building is 280 x 70 feet.

Mebane's Bucee's will spur road improvements.  In the article it says Billions of dollars of road work I am sure they meant Millions.
