Here are a few pics of historic Natchitoches(pop. 18,323) located in NW Louisiana between Shreveport & Alexandria...it is the oldest permanent settlement in the Louisiana Purchase.

It's a shame I've never been. Hows the foot activity?

 

Lots of people walk around the downtown. It's so quaint, beautiful and peaceful, it's the perfect atmosphere for walking around. It's a beautiful town. I haven't made it down there in about 4 or 5 years though.
