Umm... I pretty sure that pot will always be illegal in Canada. We are decriminalizing pot, meaning that possessing small amounts will not be a criminal offence. But that is alot different that producing pot, which is is stilll going to be illegal.

It's always so funny when someone in the UK or US tries to sell me pot and claims it's good and cheap, but then isn't able to even tell me what kind it is (usually plain and boring skunk). I guess the luxury of being able to buy it legally in a store from a menu has spoiled me. I prefer Northern Light or a hybrid like Silver Pearl.. Purple Haze stinks!

Interesting story in Minneapolis' Star Tribune today about this subject:

It's pretty easy to cross the U.S/Canadian border up here without being caught... I can't imagine it's much harder with a backpack full of pot.

I think the federal government will begin stepping up efforts to patrol the border now, however.

Like it says in the article, however.. there isn't much up there (I live about 90 miles from the Canadian border and I'm in the last sizable area before the border)
