  1. I wish we had a real New York-style pizza joint in GR.
  2. You couldn’t be more wrong on every account.
  3. Not that I know of, but there was hope Dan Devos would bring it back.
  4. Pretty bummed, but according to Sports Illustrated, the cities are: Austin, Texas; Boise, Idaho; Bakersfield, Calif.; Chicago; Denver; St. Paul, Minn.; Lake Charles, La.; Cincinnati; Orlando, Fla.; Salem, Ore.; Philadelphia; San Antonio; Tallahassee, Fla.; Nashville, Tenn.; Everett, Wash.; and Odessa, Texas.

  6. Another taco joint. https://www.woodtv.com/news/grand-rapids/meritage-to-bring-first-taco-johns-to-west-michigan/amp/
  7. Sale on hold https://www.woodtv.com/news/grand-rapids/deal-to-sell-the-b-o-b-on-hold/
  8. While it has hosted comedy shows in the past, the Listening Room isn’t going to forgo music acts to become exclusively a comedy club.
  9. Maybe GVSU could poach Tony Annese from Ferris if they did make the jump. Matt Mitchell just ain’t cutting it.
  10. Seems like a rather odd placement for the new information sign...rather small too.
  11. The Whitecaps have had 67 former players make it to play at least one game in the majors. As far as the bump up to “high A” ball, it really isn’t a huge deal. The Whitecaps and Tigers have long been accused of sending their more advanced players here instead of Lakeland by the rest of the Midwest League.
  12. No way. There is no big demand for office space or that much residential.
  13. So the real question is what gets done first? 201 Market development or Amway Grand glass.
  14. I don’t see the need for a skywalk from a residential building to the arena. The developer certainly won’t pay for it.
  15. Well it’s a lot better than the original 8-story proposal from years ago.
  16. Civility exists in GR https://www.wzzm13.com/mobile/article/news/local/grand-rapids-central/ann-curry-gr-airport-tweet/69-e5881712-7f89-4789-82b4-c33b37aa33c9?fbclid=IwAR1P50GExekc9xzoM1oEEMgPgjXQBW6YYTvYW63_9RySIDj2jRl_Bo3sodU?fbclid=IwAR1P50GExekc9xzoM1oEEMgPgjXQBW6YYTvYW63_9RySIDj2jRl_Bo3sodU
  17. The Fed is definitely a gross building. I’ve hated it for 40 years.
  18. Those vans are from independent companies contracted to do deliveries for Amazon. There are several of them around town. I think the one in Walker is the largest.
  19. Nashville has one pretty close to a highway. I wonder if they have sound issues.
  20. I noticed at least 2 small “Studio Park” signs on the parking garage today, but didn’t get a chance to take a picture.
