I hate those roads too. 59 is ok until you get to Atlanta and then you have to take a two laned road the rest of the way to Shreveport. LA Hwy 1 is a nightmare in the morning with all the commuters coming into town. LA 1 should have been upgraded to a freeway long years ago!

I hope it's a little taller than the other ones close by. That would look like a nice mini skyline. I keep hearing even more stuff is planned for that area. I just wish I knew what it was. Do you know of a site I could go to that shows a list of what's coming here?

No, I'm afraid I didn't. I bet it was nice though. Me and my family will have a huge dinner and will shoot fire crackers later on. What do you have planned for the 4th? I think D/FW currently is at 6.7 million or something like that making it the largest urban area in the south and 6th in the nation. At it's current growth rate it should be #4 by 2020!

Yeah, I love UP as well. The Dallas/Ft. Worth area just amazes me with the volume of growth they're experiencing.

Wow! That growth is just crazy! Are a lot of these new residents new to the area or just leaving SBC? Also since the two cities are close together 24 minutes is quite a commute. The traffic must be horrible!

I've heard that a white/hispanic street gang is starting to take shape there. Like there isn't enough crime and confusion going on already. I'm quite sure flare ups are soon to occur with the gangs that are already there. Plus prostitution and drug dealing are big problems too. I feel really bad for the elderly who have to put up with that.
