  1. ‘On the consent agenda for the 6 p.m. regular meeting agenda is a request from an LLC tied to Harlan Construction to conditionally rezone a 0.6-acre property at 501 Orleans St. and 4811 S. 37th St., near Rocketts Landing, from light industrial use to the B-5 Central Business District to allow for a four-story mixed-use building with ground floor office use and 21 residential dwelling units.’

  4. I wish I did, just and ordinary guy interested in development lol, these screenshots are from the Manchester Alliance meeting that they post every 2nd Tuesday of every month.
  5. I was snooping around google images and came across what seems like what that area would look like when built out. (Don’t remember the city) But imo it doesn’t really look that bad.

  7. Especially off the i95 bridge
  8. When I watched the Manchester Alliance meeting video on facebook the speaker for that specific issue said they would be building a ‘sister project’ to The Box development once that’s complete.
  9. More renderings of The Outpost at Brewer’s Row condo project
  10. I feel you on this one, why build less density on on vacant property when you you can take full advantage of height ?
  11. Agreed, IMO anything built near Commerce rd should push for taller heights.
  12. IMO, i feel theres enough space between the building/ parking garage & 14th street to construct some form of retail space while constructing a mixed used building where the second tower was supposed to go. Also If torn down how would you connect shockoe bottom when the train station is in the way, a series of pedestrian bridges orrrr… But if torn down, I do believe the new construction she be equal in height as well as integrating a walkable streetscape along 14th and Bank St.
  13. A signature spiral would be nice
  14. One of my arguments about allowing those heights would be that I thought certain streets with landscape were scaled so that you couldn’t see taller buildings. In manhattan there are PLENTY of streets in between avenues with brownstones— the relativeness of the 3-4 story buildings and trees blocks out the view much of the time.
  15. Not to ask for much, but at least 10 of these will satisfy me
