  1. http://www.nahumgoodenow.com/#/ontheboards/ I remember the architect mentioned that they wouldn’t show any development that wasn’t promised and see that this is still up, anyone have any info on this project?
  2. It mentioned in the article that they’ll be breaking ground this month, bringing a total of 3 large scaled developments going up at once !

Great idea, always envisioned the plot between dock st and cary st filled with high density development that doesn’t obstruct views (cough cough) and provide parking in developments that would replace the current parking, maybes building heights between 5 & 8 stories, i say 12 dont attack me lol
  4. I would love for this developer to to maximize its height potential with this zoning, also its great to see this area of Manchester begin to see interest in development. Hopefully within the coming years this would pave the way for more high density development. Also with the city paving sidewalks, and the correct ratio of commercial/retail additives, this area could become a strong, walkable urban core !
  5. I’ve recently started checking the development map being I’m still new to checking updates on urbanplanet. I realized the shapes colored green are completed projects, blue are pending, and yellow are in the works. The area where “The Box” project is located recently switched from blue to yellow, so maybe thats and indication, idk.
  6. Conceptual? For a 9- story commercial building..opinions?https://www.thalhimer.com/sites/default/files/listings_files/IconatCityView.pdf
  7. https://www.genesisproperties.com/afton-development-on-richmonds-southside/ Proposed development for affordable housing in Richmond’s southside.
  8. I always believed that, that was a wide enough stretch to include a ‘downtown’ outside of downtown, something similar to what they hypothesized for Arthur Ashe blvd.
  9. It would be more preferable to include developments like these more towards the area between McDonalds, commerce, and maury… Commerce should be loaded with pedestrian friendly mid/ high rises.
  10. My best rebuttal to the recent comments would be in a realistic city, not every building on a prominent street or intersection needs shoppes on the ground floor….. but it totally throws off the algorithm by not having any, hopefully the adjacent lot across hull is taken into more consideration when it come to the “liveliness” of a city block.
