I think I was the most heartbroken to have lost Soda Shop from that building, but I'm glad to see the building rebuilt. They did a good job and it's a different yet functional design.

I understand that one of the biggest benefits of a DDI is a >50% reduction in perpendicular (T-bone) accidents. With a traditional diamond interchange, every ramp has a 90° turn signal into an oncoming lane; a DDI eliminates this by having all ramp traffic - on or off - merge or diverge. Most accidents will likely be side-swipes. Now you’re probably right that the traffic flow benefits may not be realized since we still have to contend with traffic signals that could back up onto the ramps. But, the safety benefits will be evident.

This is a bit off-topic, but this map proves to me that my property has always been located on an "Avenue" and that the USPS is wrong to call it "Street". Every business or entity that uses the USPS address database insists that my address is wrong.
