  1. The thing that irks me about the Bridal Suites is how it would be instantly better with a different paint color, better landscaping and cool branding. It wouldn't even be that expensive to improve it from being a total eyesore!!
  2. I went and met up with the Event Coordinator at Riverside Revival and she gave me a tour of their upcoming restaurant they are building out and hope to be open to the public by next year. It's going to be beautiful and I'm so excited to have it within walking distance of my house. The concept is going to sit in the basement level of the building, but it has tons of windows, so it's still getting great natural light. More info to come! Also, it's worth noting that I'm excited overall for what they are planning for the future of RR-- they are upgrading the cathedral area to help mitigate the acoustics better and plan on having more shows there. It's really wonderful to think about being able to walk down there to have dinner and drinks and then walk upstairs to catch a show-- this place is a dream!
  3. What's the timeline for this project? I agree: Eastland is prime for mixed-use development!
  4. What a shame! Just sitting on land instead of it going to good use.
  5. Well that's a shame. I've been waiting for them to finish that development since I moved down the street 6 years ago.
  6. Any idea what is going into the old Catio space next to Babo? I couldn't find the building permit.
  7. I remember reading about this a year or so ago. Didn't they already come out with a masterplan? It was on the East Nashville Facebook page.
  8. Does anyone have a subscription to the Nashville Post? If so, would you mind posting the article to: East Nashville building near brewery sells for $1.4M -- So curious to read this one!
  9. That's the same developer who has the postponed project in Riverside Village. What happened to that project?
  10. Thank you! It's very interesting that all these event spaces are going in, especially a.) with covid and b.) the church right down the street being converted on Riverside and Cahal is supposed to be an event space, as well.
  11. Nashville Post just posted about Fat Bottom coming to East, but I don't have a subscription with them. Can anyone post the article? Would love to read it.
  12. I'm also curious about the daycare. Supposedly, a daycare will be going in.
  13. Any idea what 1600 Riverside will specifically be? I heard that they may be turning that small house on the property into a coffee/sandwich shop.
  14. My husband noticed they were working on the church on the corner of Dalebrook Lane and Eastland Ave. It was called the Greater Grace Template Community Church; it has been for lease for a couple of years. I looked up the address and found the building permit: https://epermits.nashville.gov/#/permit/3741882?page=1&searchText=901 dalebrook ln&searchCode=ADDR&searchType=permit&orderBy=fullAddress ASC,permitNumber ASC Looks like it is possibly being renovated into another church. Thoughts?
  15. Do you know what they will be doing at Eastside Community Collaborative? I heard it may be an event space. I also heard the house on the property may be turned into a coffee shop. I wonder if that's still in the works.
  16. Thank you! I did see that. I was more curious what everyone thought after seeing a lot of community feedback.
  17. I was curious what everyone thought about the Porter Hill development. After it was featured in the Nashville Post it received a lot of backlash on the East Nashville Facebook page. I also saw that Emily the district 7 council person said the developer called her and said that was an outdated site plan. Do you think this will be handled similarly to the Riverside Village development?
  18. Hello, can anyone tell me how I post a new thread? I just joined the platform and when I tried to specifically post to the East Nashville thread, it posted to the Nashville thread. Thank you! Appreciate anyone's help. maybe I just answered my own question.
