this rezoning was approved last night and this project is 1 block north basically of northside of Camp North End. From the Biz Journal:
""Other zoning requests approved yesterday include:
A petition by MQC1 LLC to allow a MUDD-CD, or mixed-use development district conditional, zoning on 5.38 acres at the intersection of Arden Street and Kohler Avenue, east of Statesville Avenue and west of North Graham Street. The project will include up to 375 multifamily units and 50 single-family attached homes.""
There is a construction gate up on this location so it looks like some work may start soon.

Any update on additional lighting on this tower? Are they waiting on an official opening or has that already passed?

Has there been any update with the sale of this land? Now that it appears that the Practice Facility charade is over I wonder if Tepper is focusing his energy on trying to get this land?

Does anyone know what's going on here on Statesville between Callahan and Oaklawn? I attended a zoning meeting a few years ago about a mixed used apartment and retail project that was supposed to go here but i'm not sure if it got approved.
Also Camp Northend is putting up fencing near the corner of Sylvania Ave and Statesville like they're about to break ground on another phase.

Does anyone know how many floors Robinhood was supposed to have in the Deloitte Building?

wonder how the apartment leasing and office leasing is going at FNB? I really like that tower even with its exposed area on side. Those apartments have great views because of the way it is oriented.
I'm sure it would be better if they had balconies.

Will this project ever get built? I thought it finally got traction when the permits were filed but I guess not.

The apartments located here finally have a website. I thought they would be condos but let's just add it to the list of super luxury apartments.

Has anyone seen any information on the residence units available here? Are they supposed to be apartments or condos? Usually by this time they would start trying to get some confirmed leases I would think.

How many more floors?
I think they're finishing up the last floor. If not, there should be only 1 more left.

The Asian restaurant is still there I think next to museum tower, but next to it all down church and then around corner down stonewall is empty. Is that where the athletic club was? It doesn’t look like from the old signage that anything has been there for a while.
Yes, that's where the Athletic club used to be.

South End Rising part of the greater Charlotte Rising!
I enjoy webcams but they could've picked a better host.

I thought once the crane went up this project would get some traction. It appears to be no progress here.

That most certainly could be the case but if you look at the South side of the Ellis building from the photos @gman430 provided it looks like that side will be more than 5 Stories for the Apartments. I’ve attached a marked up picture: 5 Doorways to access the Parking Deck from the Apartments on top of two (2) already constructed Levels and with one (1) higher Doorway to access the Rooftop of the Apartments for maintenance of the HVAC Systems.
Along the north side of the building in question I’m not sure if they’ll be a 6th floor of apartments but the Southside surely looks like it will be more than 5.
That looks like it'll be for roof access

This thread needs some more attention. Charlotte isn't being recognized for the amount of active cranes this city has!!They're almost 20 between Uptown and Southend.

I don't think it looks like that bad and they are not depending on nonexistent vines to cover and hide the deck.
Here is a video with some great views

This is a really quality video. It really helps you get a feel of how the building will fits in the area.

I don't mind the Ally building but I find i disappointing that companies offer amazing initial renderings and the actual projects do not come to look anything like it. The most recent ones I can remember in Charlotte that actually delivered are Railyard and Dimensional Place. I was so excited to see a project like the original one in the post link below.

These Townhomes are going up quick right off N. Graham. Hopper Communities have built quite a few projects around the uptown area.
