I can't wait to sit on that outdoor patio adjacent to the trash hopper behind the Stanley. So peaceful.

That little house across the street deserves a better life. Was empty for a long time, surrounded by giant condos, gas station, etc. I'm saddened when I go to Laurel market and think that some day it will probably be torn down as it seems like a nice little home Those condos with their office has given it some new life with the paint job (and probably remodel) though.

Drove by this the other day. Couldn't get any pictures but the site is basically totally clear now. A bit depressing actually as not a single tree remains and it is a HUGE field of dirt at this point.

I hate that I read Lower as a word that rhymes with tower, rather than the regular word lower...

My (maybe not so) hot take is that the silver line should be re-routed to follow 277 in the southern direction to pass close to this and other development along Morehead.

I thought there was a tunnel or something under Kenilworth as part of the plan of the new park? Maybe that was dream I had.

Drove by this site the other day and noticed there was a sign on the corner advertising this office building. It also looked like the Novant rehab(?) building was no longer in use (corner of 3rd and baldwin). At least that was the first time during a weekday that I have noticed it with 0 cars in the parking lot.

I also think that developer sign has been there since I moved to Charlotte 5 years ago. Edit: At least 2019 -

I might have missed the discussion but what is going in behind the new canopy and atrium MOB? It used to be small houses and business, but now is a field of dirt. I don't remember seeing it on the overall plan of that area.

If business' are buying up all the homes to make them rentals, why would a business sell their rentals to make them homes? Seems counter-intuitive. Wouldn't an investor just buy a bunch of those conversions and rent them out again?!?

That link from Clayton is about 3rd, 4th, and Baldwin. You could write the same article again and it would apply - probably even more so as this one is further from Cherry.
